Yeah, man.

I really thought it might never end....even though I won the rally it's really quite f**king stupid that it's even possible to have an 85 shot rally.

were you taking risks during the rally ?

Like I said I was playing a bit more conservatively than normal, but I had maybe 4-5 real chances to hit a winner, that I went for, and he still got to the ball.

The only thing I told myself not to do under ANY circumstances was to try a drop shot. That is the last thing you want to do when you're tight or nervous, IMO. There were a few moments where I would have normally tried a drop shot but did something else because it was match point and also I did not want to be the guy who lost this rally

If anyone wants to play, add me. My gamertag is omnislash81. I will add those in here. No TI/MD, please.

I usually play in the mornings or really late at night. Also, it's my brother's xbox, but he doesn't play the game. However, our roommate does play once in a while.

I wasn't impressed yesterday raining amoeba. You added me, asked me to play you like 2 times, then we play and after 3-0 you quit - I messaged you to say "did we loose connection" even though I guess you quit because you were losing and then didn't have the courtesy to message me back? Appreciate you are new and it's great you have joined the site but have a bit decency in the future with other members.

Played somebody who is ranked in the top 15 of 2K Open....good player, not nearly as good as I'd expect a top 15 player to be, but good nonetheless...I mean I was Agassi and he beat me with Ivanovic so I guess that's good. I think the score was 3-4 1-3.

He served little 80 mph super wide slice serves every time from the deuce court, even after I smacked like 10 winners down the line off that serve, he persisted in doing it every time :wee

I see how these serves are very annoying, but I think a lot of people make too big a deal out of it. If I got 'good' or 'perfect' timing and hit it deep down the line, I won almost every single point...timing is more critical returning those serves than any other serve, but if you have good timing, it's pretty easy to put them away. I think this guy just had no real Plan B this is what he does on every deuce point no matter if it works or not

I'm constantly amazed at how many players online forfeit!!!!!

I just had 4 people in a rowquit on me once it was pretty obvious I was gonna win....I mean I guess it doesn't matter to me, I get the win, they get the shame of quitting, but it's stupid, it's like people want you to feel sorry for them or something!! "ohhhh please let me have a game!!"

NO! I don't give away s**t!

Lost twice tonight in 2K open...once to a Serena, I had never ran into a Serena before online, and was quite taken aback at just how annoying and off-putting her shrieking is. Wow!

The other was on my least favorite court, Dublin grass...I CAN'T SEE the ball on that court, it is insanely frustrating.

Ok I can see the ball, but something about the court...I have no idea what kind of ball is coming at me or where it's going to land on that court. Also I tend to just completely lose the ball for a split second, in the grass. That court + a lot of lag= I hit more 'Too lates' than I've ever hit, for sure.

Also I did forfeit once tonight

I waited til we were both on even ground, I think it was 2 all or something...it was the blue court with a ton of shadows, and it was just driving me nuts, it's basically like the Dublin court, I have no indication of where the ball is going to land...some balls that look like they're gonna bounce around the service line end up being like a foot from the baseline, completely surprising me.

I played a ITST member with the gamertag SickGranada or something similar to that. He's really good. His Andre Agassi beat my custom player 3-4, 4-2, 10-3. Lol, it was like a women's match. Neither of us could hold serve much. We were broken multiple times. I still can't employ control shots, and now I can see why control shots are quite crucial during a match. He was pulling me out wide, then go behind me or deep, but my speed more than compensated for his strategy.

I played several matches today. And, I will be making a habit to take pictures of the screen afterwards.

Played RainingAmoeba79 earlier, but he had to leave when I led 4-2 in the first set.

Also, played CHEDERER. My player is Paradox M. His is Phillip Cugini. Our match stats:

There was sooo much lagging in our match. My player is a defensive player to his offensive.

Played Baghdad for the first time in TS4, had a good clay match, he was Wawrinka and I was Davydenko...we had some ridiculous rallies, including the very 1st point of the match where we had (I'm estimating because it didn't say) a 50-60 shot rally

I lost 6-4 6-1 but it was really close...I DON'T WANNA MAKE EXCUSES BAGHDAD :P (here it comes!) but do you remember when you won set point, where you hit like a 30 mph control shot topspin for a winner? I completely lost the ball!! argghh...it just disappeared in the crowd/seats and by the time I saw it again it was too late.

I tried to keep it together but that bothered me

But really it was a great match, a bit exhausting, we really had a ton of extremely long rallies, at times it was like Borg vs Vilas or something, just hitting slow deep topspins to each others backhands for like 40 shots in a row

You beat me to posting our match report (I was going to do it after our match but got sidetracked)...

To be honest I really enjoyed this match Jay. The match was too close as you mentioned and I don't think the second set score really reflects how "neck and neck" it really was.

In the first set I was very impressed with how you came out of the blocks. Your game seems to be swung in the favor of power (rather than control shots) and your timing of the ball impressed me a lot I had to say.

I have not played pro's since I played with Puttu really around the release date of TS4 and I want to have another bash at it again because of our match. I chose Warwinka because he was the only player I could see who had a backhand stat higher than the forehand and one with enough accuracy on it (77). I had never used the guy before but he looked and felt like a nice SIM like player - quite balance in all the stats (compared to say Roddick or Nadal).

Jay if you have time you should enter the "ITST Pro Tournament" that kicks off on the 5th of June, signup is going on now. I know you only really play for fun but it would be cool if you did enter. If not, hope to catch you around again sometime. Warwinka vs Daveydenko Part II 8)
