1 problem I also have is that because of how everyone in WT is so powerful or has MD/TI, I can't create some characters that I really like.
I like 2 coaches right now. 1 gives Approach shot expert and Spin Serve Master. The other, Inside out Master and Topspin invasion. Thing is these 2 characters would get blown away online. Whereas in a sim tour they can stand a chance.
So maybe people are reluctant to try out new setups because they are creating characters that can stand up to the current power hungry players. Hopefully a sim tour can change things.

@djarvik
Oh okay. Did 2k say when the patch will be released?

There is no exact date on the patch but it WILL be coming. Sooner then later.

Until we see how patch affects the game-play - all the proposed rules and solutions are kinda useless. I don't mean to be rude or undermine your attempts, but a simple fix to a movement bug and a split-step that gets your player stuck after returns, mid rally and when stretched wide can completely change the game-play and balance.

Yes, that's true. I just hope they release it soon so we can go from there, but I have 1 more question.
How long are you guys willing to wait for 2k to release a patch before taking action?

Well, lets just say that we haven't even finished 1 tournament and people already panic  It took more then a few in TS3 to even come up with a first rule, then a few more to come up with more rules.

What many perceive now as immediate threat - may end up not being the case in the long run.

My opinion, 2K is going to release the patch before the Roland Garros. I rather they have time and fix a few things the right way, then them rushing to please members of this board that scream "Burn 2K" for not giving them what they want immediately.

I agree with Djarvik on this one. It's only a problem if it's a consistent problem. We're not halfway into a tournament yet so we don't have any trends to go by. When and if it is a real problem, we should pretty much all know about it.

Why do people boast about beating players with high power/fh/bh/serve? We've all done that. The problem is players who have these stats AND know what they're doing. It's delusional to suggest that it isn't a huge advantage to load up on power in particular.

KDZaster wrote:So why not just have the ITST tour be Pros Only? Deep roster and Tons of unique skills means a fair and balanced ITST tour.

I dont see why it has to be custom chsrs only, this isnt TS3 w/ only 4 or 5 viable characters.

After seeing so many players in Top Spin 4 already killing this "Sim" tennis game with 100s on Power, Service accompanied by Stick Serve Berserk and Focused Serve etc, I like that "Only Pros" idea a lot, I'm just wondering how this would work fairly, anyone...?

Let's try and figure this out, because having to use 100's on anything just to compete with the players that do. :-/ The Pros are already there and set for us to use in Tour. Then again, just do the same thing we did in Top Spin 3, we had set player cfgs and we were forced to use them. Not everyone agreed with it, but it worked..

Two simple rules:

- NO COACH
- MAX 80 for only one voice and MAX 75 for all the rest.

Make a change come on!!!

power outside serves are near impossible to defend for me. Just played a guy with 96 serve and 89 power. Beserk stick/focus serve. He was a righty and when he served from his left to his right side he kept gettting it so far outside with a power serve. I didn't stand a chance on that side and was stumped on what to do.

Try standing in the middle, then on the toss, move right or left. It's a coin toss, but if the out-wide serve is near impossible for you, then at least you're giving yourself a 50/50 chance ;)
