How to keep control of rallies?

Postby brazegoesmoo » Tue, 17 May 2011 02:50

How do I keep control of rallies? I seem to lose control after the first or second shot no matter the timing or shot type.

I'm not just talking about TI/MD opponents. I have problems after the first shot where the opponent suddenly can start running me left and right. I have no clue how they're pulling it off.

Way too broad of a question.

You stay in control of a rally by keeping the other guy off balance in some way....

Honestly i depends. I use a lot of control shots myself. But you can do the same with powershots. But with powershots you often end up being slow. So you might loose control quicker then.

lol....well, if i knew how to keep control of the rallies i wouldnt suck at this game so much....but, on the realness here...keeping the control of the rally is not trying to gain the upperhand right off the bat....wait for your time to push someone out of the court then try to keep them trapped to that one side and you will begin to have more and more open court to work with...i hope this helps

It seems like every time I get to the shot I start stumbling already, even if it seems my court positioning is sound. (does that make sense?)

it makes a lot of sense....its almost as if you can see yourself hitting the winner before you actually do it....therefore when i get put in this same position i hit it right to them or hit the ball way too early or too late
