Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia are on the south-east border of Europe, but I'd say they're just on the other side, being part of Asia.

Villa, do people in UK really think when you say Asian about India and Pakistan? Here it would be China and Japan.

Iraq, Iran and even Pakistan and Afghanistan are more middle east.
Israël on the other hand always takes part in European things. Eurovision, football etc.

And what about Russia? Major part in Asia, minor part (but with the largest cities) in Europe. But I'd say Russia is on its own.

Ah well, who really cares anyway?
