Apparently he's an ITSTer. An old one anyway. lol. I'm guessing the site is better without him ;P

In the end, #265 in the WT beat a heavily favored #3 TI/MD player using normal tactics and trying to abuse possibly the only weakness a TI/MD player may have.

TI/MD "cheesy" opponent? tastes good, man.

so true
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Wow I love it when people start thinking.. well done brazeg!! maybe we can stop nerfing and marching towards pong... maybe just maybe people will actually be inspired to look at their own game now rather than.. weaken! change! patch!

Still, for me, a balanced game is not a game in which you have to find tricks to try to compete...plus, this tactic is boring like hell and so unrealistic... isn't top spin 4 kindda sim ?

Unfortunately a game where you can finish a match with a 90% first serve, 0 UE can't be called a sim game

Well in defense of the game developers, the average person (of which there are significantly more than us freaks) would be scared off by the game in less than a week if the UE count was anywhere NEAR 'realistic' levels. Look at the stats for almost any ATP match and both guys will likely have quite a few more UE's than winners.

Also it is very hard to predict how a game is going to 'act' or 'play out' when advanced level players get their hands on it. The developers could get to a point where they thought the UE/winner ration was rather realistic and not realize advanced players are going to discover ways to make almost every ball.

You gotta remember the people that make these games are, somehow, nowhere near as good at them as we are

Agree with this. You are spot on Jay. But I think they took it a bit too far. The UE are none existent as opposed to be low. And risk is none existent instead of being hard.

Tennis, the game, not TS4  I mean the real thing, is based on errors and risks, this is not a "part" of the game...this IS the game.

So whatever we play, is extremely fun and all - but it aint tennis if you ask me. And I dont think it is necessarily a bad thing, as a "real tennis" on Xbox would be extremely time consuming and probably not fun to most.

I would love however for errors to increase somewhat. I think at this point it will help the "market" rather then hurt. Say a ration of 3 to 1 or a 4 to 1.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

Well said jay. It's the same with fighting games. I play a ton. The testers never find those infinites/glitches, or don't realize just how powerful a characters really is (SF4 sagat, BBCT Nu)
You are 100% correct djarvik. While watching a real tennis match, my brother and I were discussing about how well a true tennis sim would sell. Not so well we concluded. We hardcore would buy it in an instant, but to others who just play casually it could be a bit too much to handle. Errors popping in left and right, missing shots when you have an easy putaway, no extreme angle rallies, etc. So it's understandable why the game is like this. Look at the success of VT, but I would love for them to put more errors in the game. That would make it better.
