Im guessing it has to do with the fact that there are very little unforced errors

ha ha....well the UE is a bit disappointing....but, in the 3 top spins before i could use a risk shot of some sort and gain my momentum in the rally---rather it be i miss or make. i like how the gameplay is slowed compared to even TS3---the volleying has improved as well. i just feel this game does not require as much skill as TS3---maybe i need a few more days of playing before i can give you my real 100% feedback---but one thing for sure that was fixed is the risk return and i really like how the rally can get started now

Yeah I agree that TS3 require, maybe not skill, but more things to master than TS4. Really, just more depth in general. I feel like the only thing to really master is the control shots and everything else gets evened out by attributes and whatnot.

I mean don't get me wrong, I think ts4 is a fun game in its own right. If ts3 never existed i think ts4 is the greatest tennis game out there. To be quite honest, i miss trying to learn new gameplay and challenging myself to master a skill.

I miss TS3 sim! There I type it!

Glad to see im not the only one. They said risk is infused in shots but that was complete lie. If you cant hit errors then there is no risk. I play ts4 sometimes because at least I can play others(nobody plays ts3 anymore) but people are fooling themselves if they think this game takes skill. I usually get bored after a set. I like rallies, but this is overkill.

I agree. I got used to TS4 but I still think it's a disappointment SIM wise.

But of course there are some great improvements from TS3. But unforced errors are missing.

Unforced errors weren't really there in TS3 though either, the way a lot of you guys played the game (no risk shots).

TS4 is maybe less technical, but more "psychological"... It's become a kind of mind-game, like chess.

I agree. Well, all tennis games are like that in a way, but TS4 is definitely a 'psychological game'.

I JUST got finished playing some guy in 2K open and during one rally, we hit probably 10 balls back and forth, we were both on the same side of the court hitting down the line shots right to each other seeing who would change it up first

I did and won the rally and the match, but me and this guy had some 40+ shot rallies, it was getting a little ridiculous, I'm by myself and I actually said outloud "This is f**king stupid" during one of our marathon rallies

The longest rally i had online (before PSN died) was 64 shots

What is lame as well is sometimes you get a short ball at the edge of the court, wind up to power it down the line for a winner, and it goes toward the middle of the court?!? leaving you open for a quick tap precision shot by the guy scrambling his a** off. so very annoying.

Most of the time it's because of lag...you can't go down the line if you're stretched out unless you time it perfectly.

A lot of TS4 matches seem to be both guys daring the other one to be the 1st to go down the line because doing so is so risky

It happens to me playing the CPU haha. Lost to Chang just 4-6 and lost literally about 10 points because of this.

Longest rally I had was in doubles on Very Hard. 122 shot rally.... Ridiculous. It wasn't funny or fun at all, no matter how hard you volleyed, the CPU got it back.
