Slice in TS4...

Postby Saarbrigga » Tue, 10 May 2011 23:39

In my opinion using too much slice can ruin the game very easy.

I met so many frenchman (i don t say ITST players!) on WT which plays slice almost any stroke and there is not much you can do.

The slice can be very cheesy, do you agree?

Theres people finding topspin cheesy, others find drop shot cheesy, now its the slice...^^

I don't think that the slice is cheesy at all, nor is any other shot except the out wide slice serve that completely pushes you off court.

Top Spin 4 is a great game, and people should stop complaining about every little thing and just enjoy it.

Yeah the French guys seem to love this for some reason

I think it looks kinda stupid when people do this, but IMO it's not a big deal

i think it surely depends on the situations, slices are used. When i play with my weak, speedy guy i do often use slice for defending, just because it gives you time to recover yourself, to be pulled off court and hit back a power or even control flat its often a easy putaway for the opponent, so its a slice then.

I'm really curios to hear why slice is overpowered... first, you talk about to poison slice or just normal slice?
maybe we can make a new tour where just A button is valid.
seems that the large amount of complaining post here have created the bad habit to claim all the things the players have problem to handle, cheesy...

All the hits are cheesy for a lot of players. I think they would like to play a tour with player slevel 0 and no coach ... and without using B/A/X buttons :P

Yeah I honestly think things are getting ridiculous.

This really reminds me of TS2

EVERYTHING was 'cheesy' in that game depending on who you talk to. There were soooo many things to choose from...the risk shots, the 'momentum shots', guys with 10/10 on speed/stamina, guys who played from no-man's land, guys who hit lob returns, guys who hit risk shots intentionally long to force errors (you couldn't really tell if the ball was going long and the CPU would let you hit it unlike TS4), guys who HIT TOO MANY SLICES ( ), wide slice servers, empty meter momentum shots, small characters, ETC ETC ETC ETC

In my opinion only slice services and drop shot can take the points easy.
