I tried #3, but it is too hard to flatten out for me using this small grip. Great for spin and some wrist action, but I am an attacking player and like to finish points rather fast.

That is one other reason I went for Organix 10 over PB10. PB10 had a bit more spread out string pattern in the center, allowing for a bit better spin. But the O10 has it a bit denser and my Flat shots feel better with it. Trajectory of the ball seems less loopy and lower to the net.

Got to hit with the frames yesterday, with my own poly (Brabwire). Pretty happy :)

I am always wondering how so many pros have started playing with smaller grips (most of them play size 3 nowadays Rafa actually size 2); apparently the looser rackets improve their capability to generate those crazy top spins. I tried it myself lately but as djarvik mentioned if you hit the balls not constantly inside the sweet spot the rackets flatter massively.

Nice to see that the Volkl rackets are so well received, I live roughly 80 km away from their headquarters in Germany (actually while I was on military duty I was stationed 10 km from there, playing occasionally against some of their staff).

I play the Babolat Aerodrive Pro GT; great racket if you are trying to add a bit more spin to your game. From the rackets I demoed lately the ones impressed me most have been the latest Head Extreme Pro (which is quiet similar to the Aerodrive) and the Yonex V Core 98.

Anybody want to make your hand feel like it's about to fall off??

Hit 100 volleys in a row, alternating between FH and BH, against a wall standing like 10 feet away.

good god

My wrist feels stronger today, though

djarvik wrote:Jay, I went thru all the Dunlops Biomoimetic this year. (I usually demo everything under the sun) But only started demo the brand this year. SO I dont have experience with the prior frames.

200 Lite is the best out of the batch. By a good margin. If you looking for a lighter frame - 600 is a VERY nice frame. I absolutely hated the 200 and 200+ it felt so freaking immobile. They feel heavy but really uncomfortable rather then solid.

The 300 looked awesome, played sub-par.

500 is too light for me, maybe with some weight it will work well.

So the 200 Lite (don't be fooled by lite, its not) is the best out of the batch for me.

This is a very personal thing thou. I mean my swings are full and fast, I need headlight rackets. Of course you can customize any frame etc. But I still look for 8-10 points headlight stock rackets.

I heard a lot of good about the Aerogels, not sure if the new frames are paint jobs...need to look it up.

I have the Dunlop AG 100 and I'd have to say it's the best in the line if you modify it. I had to add almost an oz. of lead, and a leather grip, but it's been my stick for 3 years, and will continue to be my racket of choice.

How did I miss this thread lol.

Pretty good stuff from racquets and stuff.

I play with WIlson BLX 95 tour 16/19 with prince Poly exp 56 pounds , this thing is a massive weapon ,lot's of spin , power on demand , huge heavy serves and volleys are crisp .

I seem to be over powering 4.0 pushers lately and I have been beating 4.5s regularily with this new racquet , good stuff , well considering I learned to play with the K factor 90 (old feds racquet) this racquet feels huge lol .

I'm down for the cali meeting :P

oh and by the way I don't think it is a good idea to put Rob and Djarvik on the same team lol

I'm always interested in people's reasoning behind this:

Why do you string your crosses at different tensions?

I only do it if it is a different material , for example poly and gut , gut is softer so it needs more tension , or else they are going to be dancing all over the place and they wont actually be doing anything as the higher tension string will be doing most of the work , causing the the poly to pop faster.

i don't , i think it has sense when you use gut and poly like Venom said, but i haven't used anything but poly for about 5 years
