Corrupted save file...?

Postby Crotatsuya » Thu, 21 Apr 2011 02:15

World Tour mode in this game is broken.
Either you have to wait ages in Direct Match, or you quit and get a loss due to forfeit.
Should be called /quitwait. -.-

Even though this was annoying beyond belief I stuck to this game because the gameplay is undeniably fun, BUT then the following happened:

I logged into World Tour as usual, played a Direct Match, won the game and suddenly the game disconnected me just before the distribution of ranking points. I was granted a loss. I thought that was an accident and logged in again, lost the match and was granted a win. Very strange.
The next match I won again and the same problem appeared again.
I rebooted, logged in and my complete data was lost exept for my created chars and the game greeted me like it did the first time I started it.

I was (and still am) World Tour leader on the Ps3, but when I log in my player record is gone, every ranking point is gone, my complete lifetime record is gone, although my player is still shown as WT leader.

So does that mean my save file is corrupted? I invested quite some time in this game and now everything is gone? What can I do? The only thing I want is to continue playing as usual, who can help me with this?

Yeah this happens to me often when I play player matches. All your WT data and your unlocked data will get wiped but your created characters and career mode remain intact. It still says you're top because it takes awhile for the online leaderboards to register that the player is gone so it might not even get rid of you on that until the next week. The only way to prevent that is to regularly back up your data on your memory stick and load it up again once that happens otherwise there's no getting it back. Sorry if you had put a lot of time and effort into it. :(
