ok but what happens when u get tired? your bar goes down right? what does that affect? how fast you run? how hard you hit? To me it doesnt seem to affect anything.

the only thing I have noticed is that big hitters start hitting a little slower on their serves and groundies , and if they get to the ball late and they dont hit perfect timing that the ball goes out , specially when hitting on low slices , but besides that no difference , someone with red stamina runs around forever.

In real life when I'm really tired the first thing that goes is my concentration , I'm no longer thinking about were to hit the ball , then my legs go , and with it my footwork and consistency , I could in theory hit balls hard no problem , granted the ball comes right at me .

Stamina in top spin should have the following effects:

first depletion of stamina bar should result in less accurate shots all around ,as the bar remains depleated longer your speed should go down a little and errors should increase by 20% on any ball that your player has to hit on the run .

What do you guys think ?

Problem is, it is completely random. I know I time it right, but results seem to be random somehow.

yeah i even put my timer back on to test that and ll of the serves were good or perfect, and i wasnt holding a aim direction for barely any time, just flicking it. Then i would hold it for half a second the next point and do a great serve :?

Bingo.. need so see some slow down. When your red and your speed is a 50 you should barely be able to move and get to balls. Honestly when running corner to corner in a 20-30 shot rally you should be dead tire and not to be able to get to the balls after while. The way it is now the 40 speed guys can get to just about everything even when dead tire. THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE AFFECTS for stamina! It should bring down your speed and power stats if your red stamina by quite a bit.

People were SCREAMING the same thing about TS3 - for 3+ years. Apparently no one listened (or cares). Same thing can be said about overpowered players. Again, it's absolutely mind boggling that we're dealing with the EXACT same issues in TS4. :stupd

Yeah I voted that I feel it should affect more.

I do see some effects, a player that I've shown all sides of the court, will make mistakes quicker, but not nearly quick enough. Also I would say, when your bar is into deep red, or even almost depleted, it should take longer for the stamina bar to refill. The same goes for a real tennis player. When you are on the brink of falling over from being so hella tired, it takes a long time to recover. It doesn't have to mean you can't make a single shot anymore, you just need to change tactics so it will be your opponent who does all the walking...not you. ;)

Man tell me about it, I just flushed the game down the toilet

Had this great ITST-match vs Petrelli. Lost 1st set 6-7, won 2nd set 6-3. Long baseline rallies, with his Schiavone just getting everything back with power, felt he had the slight edge in the rallies, but nevertheless it could've gone either way. If it wasn't for the game to intervene...

3rd set I went down 0-1, then faced breakpoint on my serve. Hit 2 well-timed serves, nothing special on the direction, but they both ended up in the net :x

Put up a fight, got back in the set, but at 3-4 I faced another breakpoint and exactly the same happened! Well-timed serve, nothing special on the direction, ending up in the net. Lost the set 3-6.

All credits to petrelli, he played great. And I don't mind losing, just hate that it had to happen in such a way. Especially since in the rallies it really didn't matter if you had no stamina and timed the shots awfully, they would just go in.

I don't even understand what Stamina is suppose to do in this game, can someone explain to me what it does?

Nearly nothing, that's the problem

Are you native english? Or do you speak another language? Translation might solve it really.

High stamina should make you able to keep going in long matches, to keep your speed up as the match takes longer and longer, irl to stay focused etc. Someone with low stamina would start to respond slower as the matchs progresses, lose speed, concentration etc.

I think its supposed to make your player slower, less reactive, more likely to miss/less accurate and deep shots and less powerful. It does do all these things but the effect is negligable so people can basically play the same regardless.

match has been decided by two double faults on 2 different breakpoints.

i feel stamina is not important in this game...even less than in top spin 3...
i have 92 and i didn't feel the difference...only with your 2 df...

if stamina is not important, power player will dominate surely and has not sense to create a defensive player.

btw good match Tom,very fun...it could have gone really either way
