Dinara Safina serves 122/123mph?

Postby JJ_DUBZ_87 » Tue, 29 Mar 2011 03:22

Al, Rob, Xavi, any other person in contact with 2K, please tell them to fix that stat. Safina does NOT serve that big... that's just ridiculous.

I was just playin a match with ItaStallion (great player and a great guy all), and Safina was servin at 123, 122, 120... at first I was getting mad and all, but then I started laughing to myself. It is after all just a game, but to see Safina hitting serves like that was bogus.

I'm not complaining about anything per-say, because I was returning 50% or so of the serves and had break points in the second set...so I'm over the serve power stat thing. Alls you gotta do (as many have said) is focus on your serve and baseline game to hold your own serve...which I did and it helped.

But yeah guys please add that to the list of issues reported to 2K!!!

yeh they stuffed up safina she serves quicker than serena lol

pretty sure i took the first set 6-3 as well lol then i got d/c

i don't like playing as big servers like my all around player djokovic, blake etc

i think i proved it when i double bagel-ed you in the 2nd match with djokovic vs agassi

the blake vs borg match up was interesting to say the least i thought you would have held your own better in that match though

was a couple of good games. Your a good player :) just need to hold your serve a bit more

lol rub it in Stallion, rub it in! For the record this wasn't a dig on you, I know you're an awesome player in any style you choose to play...(referencing the double bagel agassi djoko match lol).

I held up as much as I could... but some of those shots (especially the on the run short crosscourt backhand...from defense lol) had me shaking my head like "HOW did he DO that!?!?!?" Then I'd try it and lose 3 points in a row.

I was trying control shots...and most of the time when I'd try to hit a deep topspin control shot crosscourt, it would land in no man's land...and you'd pounce. Same thing with the flat ones. I have that timing meter up and it would say "perfect" and then land short of where I'd want it to go.

I think I'm suffering from Murray Syndrome... I have all these shots floating around in my head and all these scenarios, when it's time to execute they all mash together and at best I generate brain farts. I executed well on a few of my service games...what was it 6-1 6-2 for the Borg Blake match?

Positioning is the thing I'm most working on now...trying to learn what shots to hit when I'm pushed off court or when I'm in a defensive position... because it's so easy for the opponent to create offensive opportunities in this game it seems.

I'm sure it'll all come together for me sooner than later. But like I said tonight I had enough butt whoopings from you :P

cheers for posting the blake - borg match score haha didn't want to embarass you further. I'm sure it will all come together.....

on the run backhand crosscourt short top spin shot is a control shot obviously you try and power that and it's a nice little ball that will sit up that i can pounce on.

once you get better i can already imagine the scores we will play. I'm thinking like 7-6 7-6 to me obviously :) lol

you will get the hang of it practice and get your timings right

pshh you already embarrassed me with those double bagel bludgeonings lol... and I appreciate healthy competition (hence my being on this tour). Believe it or not I was very happy when I held serve that one time in the first set!!

I almost did a backflip when I got the second game in the second set lol, but yeah I'm definitely going to practice. We'll play again soon bud 8)

Safina? Shouldn't her serve stat be negative?

I feel bad for Safina. Her brain has almost as many knots as Murray's.

LMBO TomBs :lol::lol:

Cro ur not too far off! I looked at different match stats for her, and her max serve I've seen is 106...and that's pushing it...

I don't see why it's so hard for her to get consistent results now-a-days! She's pretty much a bash-em-up kind of player... hit hard and shriek... power power wham bam...

But did u see the beat-down Sharapova gave her last week! Whoo that was tough...
