Ah, cool

I was just wondering that, because if you have 10 or 9 on any of OB/DB/SV, you can't join any club at the moment(except SVS, they have no stat requirement...)

I **** hate that they changed the buttons.

I am still used to press LT for every shot I hit, and now when I hit control shots, I do this stupid "Oh, I am going to pose for inside-out shots but I am not going to hit them" thing.

And I move like a cow now because RB is for repositioning!

question to the gentlemen (and ladies??) in the Defensive Baseliner Brigade...

How are your matches progressing?

I created a primarily defensive baseliner and found myself losing or winning all my matches in a closely contested battle... granted I only played 5 matches (4-1 on world tour)... and I have to say I enjoyed the confidence in knowing I could get to virtually any ball.

I'm thinking of joining this group instead of the all-around club (don't tell them though ) but I just wanted to know how you guys were faring on the tour.

Guys what do you feel you benefit the most from in playing as a defensive baseliner?

Just looking for some input...please? It's like pulling teeth to get a response sometimes...:lol:

i can't help you, i play a defensive style, control shots, run all around the court blablabla, but i haven't won a single set against guys like Norberto, Djarvik, Puttu etc so.... well....

I haven't got time to create my player yet, so i've been using Bjorg, Murray, Lendl..., but Al says that a high stat on reflexes could help your character to react faster and that's a good thing for a defensive player.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

You can count me in any time - still checking different specs (at the moment it's 5 OBL - 15 DBL, looking at the trainers I might go for 17 or 18 DBL instead) - but I will definitely stay defensive.

added information:

Playstation 3

I think I've decided this is where I fit best on both tours.
XBOX360 MSS - 2 Titles
PS3 MS - 2 Titles

I am currently testing a lot of different set ups, started with a more extreme 0/2/18, but lately changed to 0/8/12 with equal points in FH and BH, which - at least for the moment - seems to work better for me.

What specs are you feeling most comfortable with?
