Coaches (especially Gold)

Never mind. Looks like you have to unluck the "coach skills" for every new player you create. Very ITST friendly....not. :roll:

Testing new players are gonna take forever.

What you mean with forever?

Be glad that we have such a Option. In Top Spin 1 Days we had to play the Careermode for each new Character and you cry around because you have to unlock a few simple Coachskills what needs probably a half hour after you leveld up your Character to 20 fast with a few Clicks. :wink:

I have no Problem at all to doing it this Way.

Never played TS1, so I don't really care. I'm comparing it to TS3.

And creating a new player (including the coach skills) will take at least an hour in TS4. Some of us have jobs! :lol:

But I guess that we can play the ITST tour with the pros, at least to begin with. The rules and the stats will change back and forth for a few months anyway, so the players created now will surely be "forbidden" later on.

Häh what do you mean with forbidden? We can create what we want and use it in the ITST or not? Didn't I say you not to abuse the drugs to much. :lol:

I made a new player after my first one made it to level 20, and i played 2 matches to complete the coach objectives for the skills. not bad at all

I just discovered one more. It's a Lady and she appears with a mixed OFB and DFB Setup.

i finally reached lvl 20 and unlocked the option to create lvl20 characters! It is such a great option. But i am wondering about the coaches.
I made other characters, Fernando Gonzalez which is obviously an offensive baseliner with a huge forehand and Fabrice Santoro as a defensive freak :lol:

I saw the list in a thread of gold coaches with special attributes and saw what i wanted to assign to these players but the problem is that these coaches didnt appear in my coach list. Is there a way to unlock more coaches besides assigning XP? Now my characters are already at lvl 20 i dont really know how i should unlock the others.
Sorry if it has already been discussed but i didnt find this information.

Hm the Problem is that only Coaches appear which fit to your Style and to the Levels you choosed. You just have to experiemt a lil bit with the Levels you can spread. But it's normal that you don't unlock every Gold Coach. It depends on your Levels in OFB, DFB and S&V.

You know if you got almost no Levels on Serve and Volley for example it's normal that no special S&V Goldcoach appears. :wink:

That's how I understood the System.

And the most Coaches should appear if you choose a Allrounder like 7-6-6 on S&V, OFB and DFB for example.

yeah but it would have been good to select any coach for any kind of style. Why does an offensive baseliner can't have a focus serve for exemple? Roddick has it...

Also for my Fernando Gonzalez character i experminented with these stats:

sv 2 - of 16 - df 2
I wanted to assign Dlouhy coach for return counter and shot counter and it would have give me these final stats:
FH 88
BH 61
Serve 77
Volley 47
Power 80
Stamina 69
Speed 52
Reflexes 66

He would be a brute force, but thats Fernando

But too bad i cant select this coach neither Loureiro, Samala or Grody which would have been good other options.

It's too bad, this coach thing is such a great idea but we cant get the most of it for an unknown obscure reason....

would you share the setup you used for your fernando? I put XP points mainly in offensive baseliner but now i downloaded the coah calculator i tried different setup and you can make quite a good agressive baseliner by even things out between the 3 playstyles (something like: sv 5, of 8 and df 7) and just assign the good coach for enhanced skills... so i may restart from scratch afterall.

actually i just made him level 20 OFB. But thats only because I wanted to see if the extreme players came with different coaches. But i dont have a huge serve like Sinna, i dont think its close to 98, and the same with power, mine is not at 98

Like I have a hewitt, level 20 DFB (love to play with him), and of course Edberg level 20 S&V

Coaches (especially Gold)
