What is expected number of tour players?

Hi guys,

can u tell me from ur experience what will be nuber of players in tour?

Which is most played platform? PC?PS3?XBOX?

When tournament starts? How many plaers are there enlisted? 32? does it fill quickly?

Never played before so im just courious!!

I have been here for the launch of all the new tours and ill tell you that it really depends on how good the game is. The better, the more players will play here. I have no doubt we will have more then 150 players in the first few weeks here on ITST. And if the game is any good that number will only increase. We have some things in store to promote the hell out of ITST to ensure this.

360 and PS3 platforms are both big here. ot much difference in sign up numbers to be honest.

The tournaments will open 2 or 3 weeks before the tour starts. You can check which tournaments will be available in the tournaments section olf the home page. Ill post a link to it later.

Correct me if im wrong but i saw firs "warm up" tournaments r starting March 28th?

When will be able to entlist for tournament? how is ranking done or updated? How come tournament lasts 2 weeks?

probably there r various topics about that but i m just lazy to search right now. )

Yes in March is the First Warm Up Tournement:Think is only for tested the new Setup by TS4.

Entlist for Tournement is normal 1 Week for begin.

Ranking Update:After 1 or 2 Tournement give normal a Ranked Update.

2 Weeks for a Tournement=See the Draw from old Tournement you have 2-5 Days too play your Match with your opponent.

Like Hamburgerboy said a tournament normally opens 1 week in advance but the warm up tournaments will be open 2 or 3 weeks in advance.

The management team creates all the tournaments. Most of the statistics are being tracked automatically.

After a match is played the winner has to report the match result. He can also give a little summary of the match that can be used in the news.

i read it. Only complicated thing for now seems custom player. I would like to make my custom player good and to get a grip of the game before tour starts.

what if i miss first tournament? can i normally apply for second?

The warm up tournament will probably be played with the players that are already in the game to give people more time to create their own player.

You can miss the first tournament. You can even miss the first 5 tournaments. Or only the second tournament. It is up to you which tournament you sign up for.

We follow the ATP tour closely. So every week there is a new tournament available. And the rankings are according to the ATP tour as well. The ranking counts your performance over the last 52 weeks. The best 18 perfomances count (4 Grand Slams, 8 ITST World Tour 1000 and 6 best others plus the Masters Cup). So you see, there is even no need to participate in every tournament. But you are free to do so if you wish of course .

Thats for Top Spin 3. In Top Spin 3 you could assign as much points to certain skills and create a super powerful player in certain areas. At one point you could only play with 1 kind of character. This was very boring and took out all the creativity from the game. So we restricted the skills a bit to prevent that from happening.

You will probably also read about the SIM tour. This stands for simulation tour. In this tour you have some additional restrictions on character creation to make sure the purists amongst our members have a tour as well.

But forget this for now. TS4's player creation is different then in TS3 so perhaps we dont need any restrictions at all. We will just have to see.

To further answer your question, in my experience here with ITST, I have to say that the PC Tour for Top Spin 1 had not only the most numbers in terms of members but also longevity.

For this game, I have played one of the largest draw size on a consistent basis for some time. I think 128 players were joining back-to-back grand slams!! Of course, during time, the draw sizes were cut back and interest waned.
