Her elbows too fragile, think she screwed it over forever - even after it healed it was taking her like 30 mins just to warm the elbow up before using it, as too much pain/movement, (read it somewhere last week)

I'm not surprised by this, I think she expected to have things a lot easier coming back but she couldn't really maintain any form as well as taking some defeats from Clijsters.

Maybe the pain was too bad but then like Villa said why play in Australia rather than waiting?

Serena could probably pick up a slam on one leg and even though she is a drama queen she is also a big fighter and if she wants it enough can still comeback.

honestly, no :( unless she does a LOT to get in better shape. Serena on the other hand, like the commentators stated, she leaves a HUGE shadow when she's not in the draw and Li Na was like "uh yeah this is a great chance to win it!"

Henin if she would have played instead of retiring might have been able to catch up to Serena in the Grand Slam wins department... maybe pass her??

At Wimbledon Venus becomes a different player, if she is injury fit and serving bombs she could still win there for sure.
