I have a real good feeling with the upcoming TS4 .

after seeing the vids and reading the interviews i expect a much better game than TS3.

90% first serve ??
who cares ,as long the serve is returnable and you hit not 250 aces per match .
only i didn´t will see a serve C issue .

btw. it never will give a game where you can´t master something in a game after a while playing .esspecially when its about timing
only when a coincidence shot generater is implented . but this would be the worst thing ever.
i like the concept :practicing and mastering . like in real life ,tennis whateva

In a way true. but would be nice to see that when someone has a good day serving it reflect the rest of his game like in real tennis.

Right now it's really too much. I mean the serve stats are really for nothing at the end of the match :-)

But with that it should be harder to hit the lines as well of course.

one thing worries me also, in the nadal roddick match, when nadal hits the forehand that lands sweet on the baseline, the little icon in the corner says "r. nadal - 20th winner of the match." It was 3-1 2-1 to nadal, so basically 5-2 in real terms to nadal, and 20 WINNERS!

but yeah maybe we shouldn't overanalyse these vids

And i agree with djarvik, on the run and under pressure the tapped slice button acts similar to a squash shot.

Well 20 winners in 7 games for Nadal against Roddick sounds about right to me

at all i think the stats are not the most important thing in TS 4 .
other things are much more important for me,like gameplay, fun factor, long time motivation and such stuff

Stats reflect the gameplay. I mean the % of serve is also gameplay.

i give you example how i meant it.(little difficult to explain in english)

look in TS2 .in TS 2 you can have easily (relative easily) a 100 % first riskserve stat without hitting a single ace .coz the serve is simple to weak .

so, to have a 100%first serve quote DO NOT effects the gameplay.
100%looks way to high for a first serve, but at end of the day exactly the oposite is the case , the serve was way to wake to hit aces

the stats are simple not important here.

after this experience i look not so much anymore for correct stat %

I agree with GOA. If the game would have stats exactly like tennis the game is probably not enjoyable. I recently heard a stat that the average rally in a top tennis match is 6 hits. I think a tennis game with those statistics would be discarded by many pretty soon.

But i do think they should take down the second serve statistics. Having a good second serve can then be a good weapon and practising it can pay off.

True but TS3 did already a better job in having a serve that was of some use. But it was/ is too dominant as you almost can't miss

DMT is a joke in the amount of aces you can hit. But when you have a bad serving day ( like in real) it will reflect on how the way you play. Like in real tennis.
TS3 failed in that. You can play shit but still dominate on the serve. Or what I am trying to say you can serve well always.

yeah i read the same article, it was by leon smith. He was saying how net play can still be relevant as even with improved strings, slower courts, faster and fitter players, the rally length is still only 6 shots.
