I think what made borg so exceptional was his ability to change his game for the situation. People say he was defensive, but not really at wimbledon, he probably SV'ed around 70%. He also had to adapt from the clay, look at the early rounds of the wimbledons he won, he played a fair few 5 setters early on then got better and better.

Couldn't agree more - and as for his volleying - he's admitted this himself - he hit the frame of the racquet more often that the strings - certainly in the earlier rounds - he needed to get to Wimbledon and practice practice practice for several weeks - at the start of that process, he wasn't just sub-par, he was pretty terrible - his improvement curve and peak on the other hand were incredible.

We should have rioted 10 years ago when all this started, but people buried there heads in the sands, and are now reaping the rewards.
Rioting now is pointless, all the damage is done, we need to unify and move forward, not go mad and riot

it's a hell of a situation man....what do you see happening now that Cowen is half (more or less) out the door? I'm very out of touch with the situation Ireland these days....my focus seems to have been more on Amercia of late......

The government is collapsing, has collapsed with the Greens pulling out, the Finance Bill shall be passed in the next few weeks, then there will be election, most probably before the called date of 11th March.
FG will be the main party in a FG-Lab Govt., Ireland will be run by two incompetent schoolteachers (Kenny P.M and Noonan M.o.F). The main opposition party, FF, will be lead by an incompetent school teacher.

Our problem is that all our parties are a joke, there are a few good individuals in each party, but no good party

Really depends on whether they can compromise.
Greens said they will support it.
Fg and lab have both said they will help it pass if it can be passed by Friday with an election to be called immediately afterwards.
MoF Brian Lenihan has said the Bill cant be passed by Friday, that Wednesday would be a more realistic target but said that the election process must be accelerated. He has also invited opposition party members to the DoF to discuss a timetable for passing the bill.
Its very hard to say what will happen, but if I had to put my neck out, I would say that FG, but not Labour, will help the finance bill to be passed by Wednesday for an immediate election afterwards with the minimum amount of days between dissolution of parliament and election.

Have to say, finding Meltzer's on court behaviour to be poor - my german isn't up to much but he seems to be trying to scare/intimidate Murray with language/behaviour......lol!!!
