Also shocked me that fed was 15-13, I believe.

Ok, ok.....

Tursunov should not be on that list or even comment about the matter. Playing a 5th set against a challenger level player is not the same as nadal playing TOP 10 guys.

Nadal is god in 5th.

Federer is surprisingly bad

it's not surprising at all to be honest

Fed doesnt need 5th sets though

I believe he doesnt do well in 5th sets because he is not particularly fit compared to many guys on teh tour nowadays. He just manages himself better than most(to avoid injury etc)

Yep. Consistency always beats risk in the long run/matches.

Look at Borg etc...

I'm gonna add 1 more thing that i guess most of you will disagree but anyway there you go:He's mentally weak in my opinion, can't handle the pressure in the tough situations, as a 5 set for example, truth is that this is maybe because he's not use to play 5 sets

i could see where you are going with that. I mean look at what happened in the 5th set verse nadal in AO, and Del Potro in US open

but then again then there was Wimby verse Andy

100% disagree about being mentally weak.

He is just as strong or even stronger mentally then Nadal or any other player.

It is all in the game-style.

Nadal can handle pressure much worse, but you cant see it thru his game. He plays way safer then Federer, taking less risks. Hence, even if he feels more pressure, he is still in the match and making shots.

Feder plays a High risk variety tennis. There is many things can go wrong at any point. So even a minimal amount a pressure can throw off his game.

That doesn't mean that he is weak mentally, far from it.

i think taylor dent has one of the worst 5 set records. Hewitt has one of the best coming back from 2 sets down in history i think, never forget when he beat federer in the davis cup from i think match point down in the 3rd

During Federer's domination he very rarely ever got took the distance so his record might be a bit skew from matches played before that time or of late where at times he has looked a bit jaded or indecisive in fifth sets in particular.
