phew...I can only hope!!! Nick Cage for me - excellent, but has been involved in some awful dross - did I talk about Con Air yet?

Loved loved loved 'Face Off' - over the top but carried off beautifully - near operatic in places....cept good opera! Moonstruck was great.....Leaving Las Vegas.....Red Rock West.....Wild at Heart....mmmmmmm....Wild at Heart....and of course Peggy Sue got Married....still love that film....which for my money is better than The Family Man while similarly themed....

He's done good, and he's done baaaaaad....on balance, I'd say v good overall.

Might have to dust off (the eagerly awaited sequel to Face Off lol!) Wild at Heart.....

con air ,face off and the rock was great movies
GONE IN 60 SECOND was also great

someone saw "The Sorcerers Apprentice " ?
saw him a few weeks in past and i was really dissapointed from that movie .

I did forget to mention 'The Bad Lieutenant' which I thought was actually superior to the original with Harvey Keitel......liked Cage version much more....excellent film with nice shades of grey, morally speaking.....

Most excellent recommendation mate!!!! Watched it this afternoon - Aidan Quinn's best film by a mile - Donald Sutherland excellent, and the ever dependable Ben Kinglsey....brilliant! Loved it!

Has anyone seen 'The Prestige'? I'd be interested in discussing if so....still not sure I've worked it out....

Raising Arizona gives it a run for it's money, but the best Nick Cage movie of all-time has to be...

Great film, with some clear thematic problems, similar to any movie involving time travel.

seriously cool film alright - here's the thing tho....I don't think there was any time-travel/teleportation.....i reckon that THAT was the ultimate 'trick' - it was a hoax....designed (with nice flash) to 'entrap' Borden into the murder of Angier (Hugh Jackman).......it didn't occur to me for several weeks after I saw it most recently......and it occurred to me that i WANTED to believe in actual transportation........this is a very very very cool film.......

I don't follow. There were certainly two Angiers at least once, as they had a dead body. I think the movie intended the viewer to see Angier's pursuit of the technology as more and more delusional/maniacal, but very real and powerful. Your theory is certainly possible, but hinges on a twin brother scenario that Angier #1 willingly sent to his death to entrap Borden. Seems like a bad trade.

Or are you implying that there was only one Angier who found a way to escape? Because I thought it was pretty clear that somebody died in the tank, as Borden claimed to have tried to save him/watched him die.
