Ring of death

Postby djarvik » Tue, 09 Nov 2010 04:29

Finally, one of my Xbox 360s died.

I have 2 of them, and surprisingly the one that died is a 2 year old. My 5 (going on 6) year old is still going strong :?

Anyhow, I have a question:

Can I use my current hard drive 120g with a newer Xbox? I know the shape changed a bit from this:

to this:

I wanted to buy the 4gig and use my older HD with it.

Thanks guys!

I have buy me for some weeks the new Xbox360,slim with 250GB HD and you cant use your old HD in the new Xbox360 Slim!!!
I think the best for you is,you buy the 250HD Xbox360,cost only 50Euro more and sell your old 120GB HD...have buy my 250GB Xbox for 249Euro.

Screw the warranty man! Make it happen! :-)... worse comes to worse you can buy any SATA laptop drive and soft mod it to the xbox format then BOOM you have a 500gig hard drive :-)

Yeah, I will do it. Warranty will be intact first and foremost beacause I am not doing anything to Xbox itself. HDD warranty is void since I will be taking it apart and removing this shiny sticker that hides the last screw. And I don't need warranty on HDD at this point

It's not the money, it's a principal for me.

I often confuse my 360 for a small child. I'm like "Hey weren't you just a gaming console!?" but no, it's like, a 3 year old...

Good man! On a different but similar note, I jailbroke my iphone 3GS a couple of weeks back - was nervous about it, but haven't looked back - went without issue and I'm no longer Apple's biatch....: )
