Is a Team that made Mafia 2 good enough for Top Spin 4?

That's my Question Guys. We all know 2K Czech is developing Top Spin 4 and these Guys made a Action Game like Mafia 2 a few months ago. Do you really trust these Guys to bring Top Spin 4 to a higher Level or do you have a doubt that they aren't ready for a Sportssim like Top Spin to make it really good?

I never heard from these Guys before the Top Spin 4 Announcement so I don't know much about their Development-Skills but it's a complete different Team and we all know that PAM did the Series in the last Years. So what do you think? I mean they made Mafia 2 and it was not one of the best Games and a Sportsim is a completeley new Area.

I have high expectations and don't want to get dissapointed with my most wanted Game in 2011. I really hope they know what they are doing and what made Top Spin in the last Years so special especially when I think about the Character Creation what was one of the most importan Points in the Series!

Well, they just put out their first pretty well known game Mafia 2. It had a pretty average reception.

I think there will be some getting used to this new direction Top Spin is going, but these are fresh faces with bright ideas to improve this game, hopefully this new direction will be for the better.

There are very few changes I personally would like to see, mainly the moving up the court and volleying.

I feel it's a bit sad when we consider some of the players who simply hold down both triggers and hold the up direction to have a "constant drop volley" effect, to be the best volleyers on tour.

I also feel that with moving up the court, allot of the bad habits such as short slicing and constant drop shots will be pretty much useless if the movement can be corrected. Side to side movements in this TS3 was great, they just need to improve on the forward movement.

is it possible that top spin 3 is the basis for top spin 4, when i look at the screenshots it appears to be the same graphics engine. My guess is that 2k have been using top spin 3 and have tweaked and added some stuff to the existing engine . That's how they do it for most games anyway . So at the end day i would be surprised if it's not any better .

They have kept the press and release mechanic and made it more fluid or accessible .

To be honest i just hope we can play doubles and record our matches or even people being able to hop in and view a match being played . That would be awesome !
It would be interesting to see whether a sim tour has to be created ! Not having to create one would be a great thing meaning that the game is already well balanced and realistic...

I completely agree with Puttu. Also i think that some members of PAM are working in 2k Czech so it should be all good. Let's just hope they don't remove things that made TS3 a great game and that they concentrate on the weaker spots and little details. A big roster would be great, but if they allow for infinite amount of created players then its not on my most wanted list.
I hope they'll give us more info soon.

No there are devinitively no Plans to bringt it for the PC. It's only announced for the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the weak Wii. If you ask me they should better bring it out for the PC instead of for the Wii.

Personally i have a lot of faith in 2K Czech. Mafia, the Hidden&Dangerous series and Vietcong are all games i thoroughly enjoyed and where visually good (for their time of course).

2K Czech will rock it for sure.

You're probably right. Not a big enough consumer base for an annual tennis game series!
We have to face the fact that all of us are in the minority being tennis fans and tennis gamers.
