ITST titles & finals summary

Management,

Just an idea but would it be possible to have a "title and finals" section.

I personally would find this really interesting, it could be set up like how the olympic medals are done (e.g.), next to say statistics?

You could have a total titles section, like the above, and then a drop down so members could see just "Mens Singles" etc. Each name could be hyperlinked into the biography page. Also, if members wanted to click on Noberto's 21 mens singles titles (for example) it could be hyperlinked to a new page that would be a list of all the dates, event, FINALIST and score.

This way every title that has been won and every deserving finalist (e.g. Rae) would be included at least in the drill down. Legends like Picahcu, Retos, Snowflake, Aniltjie would not be forgotten as newbies could look on the medals list and see who is who of new and old.

I am going to donate gold membership (benefactor), just need to get my lazy self into setting up a PAYPAL account - the money could be used to create this section? Your call.

That is a excellent idea , I was actually thinking the same thing recently. It would be a interesting thing to have.

Good idea i think. Ill check it out either tomorrow morning or monday. It should be doable though. All the information is already used in the statistics but is just scattered through the site.

That would be great - Yeah I thought of it a while ago, and then like you said realised the data is all "scattered" around the site.

I PM'ed Cro and Djarivk and was about to send one to you but you responded on here. Keep me posted (perhaps by PM).

I think it would merit its own section e.g next to "rankings" (to the right of it) on the homepage - Medals List!

This would probably be a lot of work, and I don't know if it would be possible at all, but do you think there would be the possibility to create a "title and finals" section that includes all tours ever hosted by ITST? Of course it should be possible to switch between the tours as well, so for example you could choose between "TS3 PS3", "TS2 Xbox 360", "TS1 Xbox" or "All Tours"...

Would be interesting to have this "all tours" section to see, who the most successful ITST players ever are, no matter which tours they were playing...

But like I said, this would not be easy I think, as the program would for example have to count up my Xbox 360 TS3 and my Xbox TS1 titles - but it would be a great feature I think...

I agree with the "all tours" - I understand that a few players have come through ITST playing multiple Topspin or DMT. However there should absolutely be league tables for specific games, e.g. TS3 as that is the real comparison as some people will have never played TS1 or TS2 .

If slicer & the team can do a "all tours" summary as well then that, like the above, would be a really powerful tool :shock:

Forget about the "all tours" section... just realized that because of those "PC- fanatics" like Rafa, Ir0kum4t4 or WarGot I probably would not even be top20 :evil:

Ah I go thru those too :lol:

but sometimes i go thru phases when i get to a a lot of semis , tho on MS not on SIM yet im finding that harder but think on SIM what i need to work on is serve but i just love playing the matches tho i have this habit for having matchpoints or serving for matches and not winning , its happened against TheHoff, Josenylund, and most recently Zintonio at Wimbledon where i had matchpoints , but the one against TheHoff was the worst as i was 5 1 up in the set lol , just call me the Lendl or Sabatini when it comes to closing out ITST matches :lol:
