its URUGUAY not URUQUAY (its the second time i have seen this misspelling in this forum).

i have chile and paraguay as outsiders, the favorites are pretty much the same as goa's.

a team that no ones is talking about is usa...they can certainly win against slovenia and algeria...remember they almost beat brazil...and as someone said england vs usa will be a great match..

no one is talking about paraguay and chile which made a great campaign...and i would bet as switzerland for suprise..

btw Côte d'Ivoire is NOT a surprise..everyone is saying they can be the surprise of the world cup..and if everyone is saying that..then it's not a surprise...but yes, they may be the REVELATION of the world cup, but not surprise

About the "surprise" teams.. personally i don't think any of the favorities (Brazil, Spain, Argentina, England.. etc..) could not win the cup...

so as a revelation team.. i'll say Camerun :wink:

btw i agree with Yippie.. Côte d'Ivoire is not a surprise for me.. cause everybody knows that they are strong from a couple of years...

Excuse me but Ivory Coast is that team to me...They do have very LITTLE chance of winning (c'mon guys) but could win it!!The fact that everyone says they could be the surprise (cause they have strong team) of that WC just proof that they could "surprise a ton of people"...It doesn't put them into the favorites! (you need a lot of experience of high level matchs,they don't have this) And,also,they are in the group of death...So we know that either Brasil,Portugal or Ivory Coast will be out after the group phase...If it is Portugal and Ivory Coast that qualify (and not Brasil) : Already a big surprise,no?...
That said, they won't win it...And i'm afraid South Africa won't pass the group phase...Chile?

It would be a huge surprise if they win it...Same for USA,Paraguay,....On paper,these are teams that have NO little chance of winning,If they do they will shock the world...

That's why I said all those "litter chance" teams for me have NO chance actually.. I didn't say Ivory Coast has a chance.. I just said i agree with Yippie when he said that if everyone is specting Ivory Coast to be the surprise.. then it will not be so much "a surprise" if they do a good WC...

A surprise team is the one nobody talks about.. an also they don't have to win to be a surprise.. just have to do a good WC...

For example I'll say Camerun reaches QFinal (Winning against Italy in R16, If my draw comes true :lol:

i think all teams without the top 8 you can call outsider ,no ?

ivory coast is also a outsider on that paper - maybe they are a secret favorit -but they are also outsiders (just my opinion )

... and yeah it is still an "outsider"

EDIT: but I still think that if any other team do a good WC besides Ivory Coast will be more of a surprise for me...
