Fedfan (Gray) beat CoolhandTexas (Lopez) 6-4 6-7 5-3
First set I was on top, had him at 0-40 and then 30-40 in games 3 and 5 but couldn't convert. The out of nowhere he upped his game and broke me at the first time of asking to take the set 6-4.
He broke me in the first game of the second and I just couldn't push him back. His defense was incredible, his passes always on the money and then despite me trying to avoid it he was able to keep bringing the forehand into play.
I managed to scramble a break back straight away but he was increasingly taking control and break points were racking up but on the big points I went for the lefty serve out wide just to stay afloat. I saved a match point on my serve towards the end of the set and somehow stole the tiebreak.
Early in the third he had me at 0-40 but I clung on and managed to grab a break to lead 5-3 before he left.
No hard feelings, he was frustrated with the missed bp chances he had and my serve outwide. I apologised if he thought I was cheesy with it.
