very good tip . KO in last round(12) ,in last10 seconds
chambers was way to bad tonight. in first two rounds chambers tried two takedowns lol
from beginning round 3 only klitschko dominate the bout with his left führhand (don´t know english word).chambers have done to less in the fight
at all the fight was boring.to less powerpunches from klitschko

sometimes i feelt klitschko waited extra till round 12 for the ko for more commercial money !

mean i downloaded the ufc events anyway from internet ,but that real sucks.

 That sucks....they (UFC) rip people off!! I don't know why baseball, hockey, basketball etc. is always free but UFC is always 50 bucks. That means that a lot of hardcore fans simply can't afford to be a fan.

Did you see the Pacquiao vs. Clottey fight??? I can't believe I ordered that fight!! I was looking to give boxing a 2nd chance but now I see why I stopped watching it altogether...IT'S BORING!! THIS WAS THE SINGLE MOST BORING FIGHT I HAVE EVER WATCHED IN MY LIFE. CLOTTEY MADE AN ABSOLUTE FOOL OF HIMSELF, HE JUST STOOD THERE FOR 12 ROUNDS BLOCKING PUNCHES.

I think Pacquiao is an awesome boxer and all, and it's not his fault that this fight was boring, but man it sucked!!

Pacquiao threw over 1,000 punches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know ,i feel same. boxing is really boring in relation to ufc or K1 and pride .
also yesterday the klitschko fight was so boring .

i said that earlier, its ridicolous , that it coast 50 dollar to watch UFC !!

mean the top fighters (leznar, PSG ,rampage, wanderlei, bj penn )earn alot of money in the fight (500 000 DOLLAR)
but that is far to expensive.
i allways wait till one day later -than i can watch it for free .

BTW: sorry i don´t know the boxers you mention, also i didn´t see the fight .boxing sucks . that is what i learned again yesterday

I heard about this UFC vs. Strikeforce thing a while ago, I wasn't sure if it was gonna happen but I guess it is!! I had no idea the 1st one was tonight, so I don't know if I'll be watching it...to be honest I haven't checked any MMA news for around 2 weeks. I think I've been too busy watching Indian Wells

Josh Barnett is an OK fighter and nice guy, total steroid machine though!

I hope Dream can become a real competitor for UFC...Strikeforce to me is like the 'minor leagues' of MMA...their fighters are crap

thats true, the strikeforce fighters are not so good at moment .

i think UFC is so pissed of to strikeforce coz they have now the best referee in buisness BIG JOHN MC CARTHY .
mean PRIDE is most popular in japan, far away from america, so UFC is little more relaxed than with strikeforce.

I'll take your point to a certain degree.
I don't know much regarding UFC, so I'll defer to your and GOA's knowledge regarding that sport and the ratio of good to bad fights over there.
But are you kinda generalizing and saying that most of boxing is usually boring?, if so, no I can't agree with that.
You've probably just had bad luck in picking out the stinkers and missing out on the good one's. :P

The Clottey fight yeah was a bad advertisement for the sport, but what did you think was going to happen?(and don't say you thought that at some stage maybe a real fight was going to break out  ). I mean there's no way Clottey is going to let his hands go on a consistent basis v Pacquiao. You do that and you get KO'd, it's that simple. So Clottey obviously figured that it's better to go the distance and lose by shut-out, rather than have a KO loss on his record. After a certain passage of time when the stink of his performance starts to fade, that decision loss to the premier P4P fighter in the world, won't look half bad, especially when almost everyone else get's the KO treatment from the Pac-Man.
But ultimately yeah the fight was very disapponting. And the thing is that it wouldn't have even taken place if Pacquaio and Mayweather hadn't called off their fight because of some stupid argument over blood tests.

@ GOA,
Regarding the Klitchko's:
They do just enough to win almost every time out, nothing more nothing less. They're so robotic in nature and so awkward looking in style, that it's almost a pathetic state of affairs that these two call themselves 'world champions'. This is only possible because they're currently fighting in the worst ever period in HW boxing. There has never been another time that the HW division has been faced with so little talent.
In this fight with Chambers, Klitchko's trainer- Emanuel Steward, was so disgusted with the performance of his fighter that at the closing stages of the fight told Klitchko "You can't carry on like this and go for another bullsh1t points decision!"
This is the only reason that Klitchko woke up from his lethargy and at long last showed some real intent during the 12th round.

Just as an example,
Remember that 'world renowned' fighter named Ross Purity? Yeah I didn't think you did. Well that guy owns a KO win over one of the Klitchko's. That's how good they are.
Hell even our (South African) own Corrie Sanders has knocked out one of them in just two rounds and even had the other brother also hurt but couldn't quite finish him off.

If you guys want to see a good fight that's coming up relatively soon, pencil the following to your diary:

Saturday, May 22 - at Los Angeles, CA
Israel Vazquez - Rafael Marquez

Not at all, GOA.
I have hardly ever watched or been interested in anything to do with kickboxing or similar type of fighting.
My interest with regard to fighting sports, as you can see with my posts in this thread, is only with boxing.
It has a tradition and history (dating back to the bare-knuckle era in the 1700's) that very few other contact sports can match, and so that is also part of it's appeal to me.

MMA has a very long history as well, but it wasn't always called MMA obviously.

Pankration was an ancient sport that was basically MMA; full-contact no-rules fighting. Underground no-rules fights have been going on forever, it's just that UFC 'legitimized' the sport and brought it into mainstream consciousness.

Yeah I suppose I was generalizing a bit about boxing, but really once you get into MMA, boxing does seem a little boring. I don't like the restrictions, I like the fact that MMA fights are basically true street-fights with minimal rules (albeit a little safer because they wear cups and gloves). I mean there's only so much you can do with punches, and a lot of the time it results in absolute stinkers like Pacquiao/Clottey. If Clottey is just blocking the whole time, what can Pacquiao really do?? If it were MMA he could clinch him/kick him in the legs/take him down to the ground and beat the s**t out of him for being a pu**y, etc....instead I get to watch a guy punch another man's arms for 36 minutes.

I REALLY like the submission side of MMA, to me it's the most exciting part. I LOVE watching fools get choked out

The strange thing in Germany is:

If some dude get s KTFO in a MMA fight, it s brutal.

If some dude get s KTFO in a Boxing fight, it s cool.

The Klitschko brothers are the heros, all UFC fighters are stupid assholes, not to mention in media.

I can tell you 90% of my people (the germans) don t even know who Fedor, ANderson Silva, BJ Penn or GSP is.
But they promote the Klitschkos and other Boxers like Arthur Abrahams like fighting gods.

But don t await to much from germans when it comes to combat sports or martial arts.
