Video games you're waiting for in 2010

Final Fantasy XIII is one the biggest piles of rubbish I have played in quite some time and this is coming from some one who loves rpg games It is like it has been butchered to cater to non-rpg fans as there seems to be no thought required for battles..just hold X and bash your way through. The whole linear thing I was expecting and as amazing as the graphics are, it still manages to feel extremely dull thanks to being stuck in a same looking location for over 3 hours at a time doing endless battles. The game is a real test of endurance, that is for sure. The characters are even more annoying and unlikeable than ever - it is very tough to form any kind of connection with them. Lightning is just a moody cow who is physically abusive to her own party!?
I was prepared for the linear thing as I absolutely adored FFX and many saw that as being very linear but FFXIII just takes the p*ss completely lol. At least FFX kept it mixed up with varied locations and interesting characters - all which are sadly lacking in FFXIII.
I hate the battle system too. I am old-fashioned I guess and love turn-based battle systems. It all just feels too frantic in FFXIII and I hate not being able to have any control over the party members during a battle. It is also stupid that if the party leader dies, it is game over despite the others being alive.

I can understand you and have think the same by the most review points,but i have play now 11hours and i like this Game i can not say this is a bad FF!

Yes this is right,have little patience and Time for this game and the game will better,better and better...
The First 3 chapters is only linear Fighting and not very interessed but from the chapters 4(after 5-6hours) unfolds this Game more and more and later after 20-25 Hours give more free movement and beside missions ...I have play now 11 hours and can say only for me:I Like this Game,is not perfect but give this Game time and play some hours and the game will better and better...is for me not the best FF but sure one off the best FF though i see many review points all the same how you

EDIT 2 : And it's long (15 min : 14%)....Does it take more time to dowload if you keep the "active download" window open to watch the progress?...

its indeed horrible to download the demo. it needs so much time to download it .
i played it very short.( i infiltrated the factory )
i think its worth to download the demo .it looks for a good game.
i will test it later with more intense and more time



BTW: it looks this SC part is more violent(blood -hostage finish move) than the SPLINTER CELL (SC )parts before-

Actually,i hardly remember the previous Splinter Cell one Amazing Ziz told me we played it together for hours!And i remember only a few...(Hem...weed..hem...)
The bathroom scene is awesome!!!!I liked it a lot!thrashing the toilets with the head's guy!
It's definitly easy to locate and kill the enemies but it's some fun to do it! A bit like in Batman AA...
And please let us kill the last terrorist!
Too short demo...Sellers are great to make us want to buy the game...

i agree with you the scd demo is way to short .
1 hour downloading for 5-10 minutes gameplay ??
but allone for the beginning bathroom "questioning"scene (playable) it was worth to download the demo.(anyway demos are for free downloadable)
the KI from enemys is not the best. its indeed a little like to play batman AA.
i believe SCD will be a good game

Edit : Also i played it the 3 level (easy,normal,hard) and i didn't notice a lot of differences between the enemy A.I...

i think the difference is that your character died earlier on hard when he got hitted from bullets .
when you kill enemys unobserved its same difficult on hard than on easy. :that was my feeling. i didn´t saw any difference in AI (KI) by different grade of difficulty .enemys have same AI on every grade of difficulty . .

About Splinter Cell...I played the demo several times,and i'm still not bored...I think it's gonna be a bomb...
BUT the black and white scheme is "strange"... The guards are seriously blind!!...i know it's suposed to be darker,then you can't be seen,but it looks a bit unrealistik...
I played the demo without shooting a single bullet!
