Which is the toughest shot for you to execute?

Postby Baghdad Baghdatis » Sat, 27 Feb 2010 22:31

I am interested to see what shots players struggle with the most. Perhaps you don't play a certain shot because you find it too difficult to master or perhaps you see a player really effective at a certain shot and want to know how to play it.

I would also like to share all my tips on any shots where I can, so if people want to follow up on posting a vote with a "how to" question I will be more than happy to try and tell you how I do it - I don't mind giving away my game if it helps other people.

E.g. How players volley and it just drops over the net and dies flat, or how to use the stick when serving for kick etc?

Some of the better players will probably know how to do most of the shots but newbies who are developing their skills may be oblivious to shots that can be played.

A lot of it comes with timing and practice, and players develop their own button combinations so sometimes it is hard to explain but its worth a try...

...If no one wants to share tips with each other than thats fine, just answer the poll because I know I am interested to see if I am the only one who struggles with certain shots.

Peace
They call me Baggy...

dropshots. I would love to be able to execute them perfectly but when I attempt one it mostly ends up in the net.

I've tended to find I play them a lot better on xbox than PS3.

I do suck at dropshots as well, but honestly haven't practiced them much. I also agree with djarvik to an extent as well that my consistency sometimes tends to falter especially when dealing with risk shots. When all is said and done though I feel like stick serve is still my biggest hindrance.

Drop volley. Not the short LT+slice volley, but a real drop volley.

I voted drop volley, the 'real drop volley'

Hey Baghdad, how do you return slice out wide serve affectively?

Dropshot volley killing the ball, just over the net so it hardly bounces, doing the actual dropshot volley is simple, but to kill it just over the net is difficult. The best drop shot specialist is NYG wourld tour player but thats all he does, so playing him is irritating, boring sometimes but he'll pull it of from anywhere, even the baseline and kill it,also when underpressure with a full risk return,. awsome weapon if you know how.
