Like Rob, I play WT regularly hoping to run into a super-stacked player and embarrass them with a simulation setup. I think it's the most satisfying thing in TS3. I almost feel like I do better against a lot of those guys? :?

It is if you win. :D

Nothing gives me more pleasure than beating a WT 100/100/100 player with a sim player.

If this is true, you gotta try some things :P

I'll rephrase that:

Nothing gives me more pleasure on TS3 than beating a WT 100/100/100 player with a sim player.

Although in wt he wasn't stacked like on here lol. Also

i've been using him for so long don't want to change, for ms. I'll keep my 'stacked' guy for ms but I'll try some sim on the side. Entered first tourney yesterday 0pen13 hopefully I'll be able toget past first round.

Oh and another main reason I joined is if game disconnects. The amount of times I've been winning and it disconnects making me loser makes me rage quite a bit i must say.

Alex13090 def. coke 7-5 4-6 7-5 6-7 7-6

1st set: Went on serve until 5-6 when i played a howler of a game, serving poorly and missing an easy volley into the open court.
2nd Set:Managed to break him at 3-3 and then serve it out
3rd Set: Very similar to first, a howler at 5-6 gave him set
4th Set: A few lucky risk returns in TB give me a tough set.
5th Set: Very much on serve, i go up an early Mini Break in TB. He levells with a return winner, then i hit a slice out wide, he gets it back, i hit a Down the line FH INTO the corner, he manages to cover the whole court to get to it, get it with his back facing the court and basically in the stand, i hit a dropshot, he gets all the way from the furthest back you can go(with back facing court) to into the service box and smashed it and i hit UE(Im sorry but i find this point beyond belief, that he can cover that much ground in 5th set), After that i was over..

Thats very brief, ill let the man himself give the report :P

Congrats t o alex, he played AMAZING, did everything right, a very clean player. He is undoubtdly the best player on tour right now and you now what, he has another gear. HE WILL DOMINATE!!!!

As for me i really cant stomach this loss, i really cant...............................

What a classic match from two of our best players. The mental game must have been so tough with that scoreline.

Looks like you played your heart out coke, be proud bud, coming back from a set down each time. Unlucky on that epic point.. alex is so tough to hit a winner against.

alex, big congratulations bud :!: You have got the skills, and what impresses me most is how you handle the big points. Those small margins seperates you from the rest of us :D Like coke said, you have another gear to go as well!

Congrats to both Finalists! :tu

Coke, you did great man. Too bad for the tie break in fifth set, this should have finished at 18-16 or something...not like that. 5th set loss to a great player at GS Final is nothing short of great achievement. Alex is contender for number 1 spot, nothing less. I am sure you will bounce back and be even stronger next time you meet him.

Congrats Alex! Well deserved. You have an amazing game and it will take you all the way to number one spot one day. And it looks like much sooner then anyone thinks. Keep it up!

What a match, so close that to me this remains a tie, as I think we could have gone on forever winning a set each  it was summed up to a few points, in fact I won 3 more than you only. 5 setter in a grand slam final, great match. Saddens me to be the one to stop you from winning it all.

To everyone: Thanks! Happy to have snatched one of the 3 AO's :). I have awful memory about any matches I play for some reason, but expect a match report in the form of a video soon. We played for 1hr 20 minutes so it will be long to edit.

Until then, here are the match stats:

Alex Vs Coke
81 1st Serve% 90
72 2nd Serve% 76
86 Win on 2nd serve % 77
6 Aces 4
1 Double Faults 0
93 Winners 89
18 Unforced Errors 18
2/5 Break Points 1/4
170 Total Points Won 167

First of all, congrats to both. Tennis is a cruel game at times, ask Andy Roddick, but Coke you have nothing to be ashamed of. It's not a question of "if", but a matter of "when" in regards to your first major my friend. Keep your head up, you'll be a slam winner soon.

Today was just Mr. Alex's day. He was just red-hot this tournament. And he didn't fluke his way there w/ an easy draw. He beat some EXCELLENT players (including TOMO & Oshiee). Great tournament, congratulations!

On a side note, since I recruited both Alex & TOMO, do I get to share in their majors? :-)

So you guys played 5 sets in 1hr 20mins? Djarvik, how the hell did we play 3 sets in almost 2hrs??????

 we were just hanging around the deuces and were saving break points in EVERY game. We also did that in SIM, where the amount of service winners and 1-2 punches are significantly lower then in 40-90. We actually clocked a very realistic time for a SIM Console tennis game  I think we finally succeeded in making a realistic SIM tour, that is not too slow and not too fast....but just right. The match was exiting, long, mentally tolling and with lots of opportunity to break. Wonderful really.

Sounded like a tough match. I've lost quite a few tough matches although on wt it only 3 games and there is super tiebreak so not same tension and can be over way to quick. Also atleast if someone gets disconnected they don't automatically lose like in wt :x.

I haven't been here for long so I don't really know history except about raFa. I was wondering if many rivalries have formed.

I really dunno to be honest.
All the top ranked players have a reasonable rivalry, we also have reasonable rivalries against josenylund and nitoflament, of course alex.
But gig ones seem to be
Brgerflipr v. calvlnk(dec.)
fedfan v. villa
Djarvik v. brgerflipr
Djarvik v. Tomo

Yea i made it two 10 min vids. The vid is quite fast paced except during the tiebreaks, so I'm not sure if sound would be able to commentate on it very well.
