The Shawshank Redemption is a great movie - though a bit loopy in parts (how does one blow a hole in a huge steel pipe by hitting it with a rock?)

For the animated film buffs: "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" = :tu :P

Saw Sherlock Holmes recently, Downey portrays the character far differently than Brett did in the 80's, but still an enjoyable movie. Guy Ritchie has his trademark style stamped all over it as well (think Snatch type direction).

Liked it very much. Anything Guy Ritchie makes is good in my book.

Speaking of Ralph Macchio (was someone speaking of Ralph Macchio? I think someone was speaking of Ralph Macchio) "My Cousin Vinny" has to be the funniest movie of all-time. I've watched it 100 times and could watch it 100 more.

Okay, in your opinion, the three funniest movies of all-time?

Honestly I could never pin down 3 movies as my 'funniest ever'...too many funny movies, and too many different kinds of 'funny'. Like...for example, the 80's BMX movie 'Rad'. It's gotta be one of the funniest movies of all time, but it definitely wasn't made to be funny...it was made to be more, well...Rad :?

It's Monday - time for "Monday's Obscure Movie Recommendation"®©TM

Image

I'm not a big Rob Lowe fan, but he's great in this movie. Also stars James Spader (who's always great).

Anyone see it?

This is a solid movie , by a great director . Curtis Hanson also did L.A. Confidential wich is one of top 30 (for me atleast )movies ever made.
And indeed its one Of Rob Love best movies, tough he is pretty good in Stephen Kings The Stand.
And James Spader is always great.
