Q. Reese: TSL Manager (Behind the scene)

Postby Q. Reese » Tue, 29 Dec 2009 02:11

Hello all,

I want all of you to know that I was offered the position as manager for TSL.

Due to my strong feeling to host or administrate an online tennis gaming site, I showed partial interest in this position. However, this decision was not set in stone for the fact that I asked ITST best source for feedback, its general manager.

Because of TSL's quicker response, I woke up a manager of its site. After conversing with our manager, I decided that it is best to get my name removed from the website. I want to remain a member of ITST than not be one at all (if I were to stay with TSL).

Therefore, TSL removed my name, and this is very important for me. Why? My loyalty lies with ITST. I hope you all understand my position in this regard. Lastly, I did NOT know about TSL's background, despite me doing research on my own until information was provided to me by ITST.

Good grief. Take the management position at the other site. Please. Pretty please. With a cherry on top.

EDIT: Q edited his post, to remove some of the more arrogant comments. While I welcome the decision on his part, I will not alter my response.

Q, I am only happy because we didn't do a "bad" thing by my measures and actually let you believe the fairy tale that Equity told you. I am not going to lie to you, I was kinda happy you (even for a brief moment) choose "them" over us. But I quickly realized that its just not right.

I have not been here long enough to see the 200+ recruits you speak of, but I have been here long enough to see that all that is evolves around you, you bring upon yourself. No one here is "hanging" it on you.

Up until this post, I had a different opinion of you. It changed a bit. You have an ego, something I didn't see before. You want us to change an opinion of you because you gave up a "management" position in an imaginary Top Spin League? Why?

I have never thought bad of you, I know you are a good guy, maybe too good. But you are annoying, even more so because when you confronted with that you fall into denial. When you are asked by other members to not post in every thread with little meaning, you are not being picked on, they really actually wish just for that. Nothing more.

As for WO issue. Once again, its not the players that speak, its your record that does. It shows you clearly receiving way more WOs than an average player, so the assumption is that if you can avoid playing the match while making it seem for the host that you actually tried to play, you will do it. So it is not like you a WO hunter, you are more of the opportunist.

Some good words in conclusion, I am glad you stayed with ITST. Just understand, not all people are fit to lead, you don't fit to lead, that doesn't make you any less of a person, perhaps even more of a person. You trust Rob, Slicer and Cro right? ....they have a good reason for not making you a host, trust them, they fit to lead, they are great at what they do. You like recruiting? ...then concentrate on that. Let hosts do the hosting and let managers manage.

Once again, good for you to show loyalty. I for once, appreciate it.

Don't dismiss what I just wrote, it is not meant to hurt you, there are far easier ways to accomplish that.

Enjoy ITST my friend!

I think you guys should really give Q a break on this one. He was offered the position, and they put his name on their site without him ever really accepting it. It seems to me like they took advantage of him.

That is what I meant by Fantasy. I totally agree here, don't mean to give Q hard time, just a few words of wisdom from a smart ass.

I really do thing taking advantage of people in this way is bad.

I'm curious though, Why would you even consider another "place" on another site? If you're "loyal" to ITST?.

Thanks djarvik. I do not intend to be too good, and I am a sinful person just like anyone else. The opportunist a bit far-fetched but okay.

I used to post lengthy explanations. That was frowned upon. I understand why! So now, I post with concise statements (well, I try).

I may still be used here on ITST. I will not give up on the hope. I look forward to continue to work with you guys! :)

Good explanation, everything´s fine.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

That was explained before. Then, it was recommended that I update the original post. I took the recommendation, and you see the information above. The general manager of ITST, and I had very long discussions about the original pm I sent to him before all of this happened.

I still showed my loyalty to ITST for the fact that I did not commit to the position enough and did not know about the website being updated with my name and all. Personally, I feel that this was miscommunication on both ends and no apparent signs of disrespect against me.

Also too, I did not know about the emails that ITST's Top Spin 3 players received, hence why I pmed for information from the beginning. :) So, I was in the dark, and you guys were in the light of all of this.

Therefore, like Moralspain said, "everything's fine" and back to normal again. Obviously, my loyalty does remain with ITST. This is despite the fact that I really want to manage or help out more on an online tennis social network site.

I agree with Djarvik.

I am someone who has ideas and like to invent things. Probably due to my former work. But by no means am I someone who can actually then organize it to the finish.
I am way to messy , things fly around.
Then someone like Rob or Slicer or Cro step in to get things on paper or fix things I would overlook.

Same goes for you. You are a friendly guy but way too messy in many things. Like already organizing your own matches is a pain.
So you contribute a great deal , but everybody is ment to manage or do more. The fact you are recruiting is huge enough.

Thanks Chederer! We all make up ITST. ITST will still be here, but we help shape its culture.

@Aniljte:

You were a very great host who understood my situations with my opponents. Again, I took your suggestions (even when it did not make sense), and you see that it is still difficult to play my opponents. I do not know if I am at odds for the DMT tour (joking). LOL.

Thanks for your understanding. You are the only host that I inform about my opponent being hard to play (not replying or something else). So, I am very flexible. Yes, you are right. My early years of playing for ITST threw me into a whirl wind! This was my fault. CET timing took me by surprise. We all live and learn every day right?

Yet, I got support here. So, we are fine now. Thanks again for the words and support.
