FIFA 10 or PES 10?

Postby petrelli83 » Fri, 06 Nov 2009 18:56

HI everyone...
I have always played pes 10...always disliked fifa 10.
but I tested pes 10's demo and I am disappointed.
gameplay is not improved and it has always the same problems:too few teams & players...
I would change this year...
suggestions?how are they?

I only have FIFA10. I have once tested PES but it never convinced me really.
I find it a bit difficult to pass into the open, but you get used to it. Moreover the crosses need a bit training to be timed very well, but it works.

The amount of teams is of course very convincing and well done. The tricots are OK, nothing special, but acceptable as the gameplay should come first.

I much prefere PESA, the graphics are not as good, they dont have the rights to most teams and therefore come up with some rediculous names for some players, which irritates me lots, but the gameplay is SO MUCH BETTER, its actually unreal, fifa is like the virtua tennis of footie, pes the TS3 and TIF is, IMO, the DMT.

PES, that simple :D
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

To me it hasnt seemed that PES has evolved past the ps2. Fifa is doing new things and feels more complete including gameplay. i used to be a pro evo fan upto PES6 then went fifa. PES6 is the best PES so far

I have FIFA 08, and i played 10 for a night in a friends house, and i find basically NO difference between 08 and 10, i also found tiny difference between 06 and 08

The main difference is the be a pro mode, live season, erm, pro club championships???

to be honest, i liked 07 on the ps2 :) you could score from miles out lol

06 was veeeryyy sloow, and pretty rubbish, and 09 is faster than 08, and 10 is faster gameplay than 09, only on a hdtv. On standard tv i find 10 plays much like 08 :) In HD, it seems much more fluid. It is also easier to score from outside the box in 10, but still pretty difficult. The keepers have been improved so that it 'seems' they have a line of sight, eg they will dive late if there is players blocking their view of the ball. In 09 i found it frustrating that i could hit bullets after a corner when the box is crowded and the keeper would make a miraculous save

Pro Evo has been identical since PES2007(except new licences now and then and the legend mode-a rip off of FIFA's idea) which means it is very poor. PES6 was the pinnacle of PES life, and since it went next-gen it has been really poor

No, I'll stick with Football Manager 2007. That is, until I have a new pc, then I think I'll buy 2010.

The good ol' Championship Manager was great, then came Football Manager - same as CM, just a different name - and I've been addicted to 2005, 2006 and 2007 (still am).
It's just a brilliant game-series.

Football Manager is kilometres better.

Ive played both, i find the tactics 'deployment' better in FootballManager, but i also hate the interface so bad i could act like that angry german kid on youtube :P

Add to the i can create my own team, and even my own league in Fifa Manager - i made a kazakhstan league. i created 11 more teams for a second division :D. Transfers and negotiations are better in FifaM aswell :) I also love mucking around in the stadium creator

ohh, i had a CM for psp, cant remember which one but i played it every night, and got good old Forfar - scotland 3rd division team playing UEFA cup football one season

Negotations in FM07 suck yes.
You created your own Kazakh league, I just started in 2nd division of Malaysia with a real club. Went to Maylasia national team, Dutch national team, Sydney, Man City, Crystal Palace, Palermo, Sparta Prague, and now Fulham in 2023. Love it.

I think in FM2010 creating own leagues and teams is possbile.
Can't really be bothered by the stadium manager.

But this was about Fifa and Pes
