best band of all times for me neways is----Tom Petty/Heartbreakers---they are at the top of the list for most top 10 hits....everyone knows one of their songs....but i cant say there is a best band of all times

Petty is pretty awesome. Very diverse mix of songs. Blues to hard rock and everything in between.

Yea. I am not saying that they are a "Momma Pop" band. It is just that not everyone knows about them. :wink:

Q unless you live on a different planet you have heard one of his songs...people do this to me all the time...tom petty has had so many hits

but, the beatles have songs everyone has heard too....i mean i could say my favorite band of all time IMO....but im basing my pick off of popularity and how many hits and songs a band has had

LOL. I know the Beatles, but I did not recognize the name you presented to us. Oh, people think I live on another planet, because I am 25-35% okay with our musicians, song writers, singers and am 10-15% okay with our actors and actresses.

I have a funny feeling that you are right. I know them by their song, not by faces or names sometimes.

The same thing with films and movies. I know them by voice and acting styles, not by their names. LOL.
