This HD-converter box is horrible and for the birds. I mean just let them peck at it! LOL.

It was so bad that my brother blamed Roddick's lost, my mother being on the phone to call my grandpa about the match, and etc.

I hope they fix it soon, as I think it is all a gimmick to get us Americans to buy cable.

I guess what I am getting to is that fact that I missed the interviews because of this silly HD-converter box which really is not much of a converter at all.

Y'know, obviously it's heartbreaking for Roddick to come so far only to lose in the end, but he's gotta keep his head up. I don't think too many people expected him to even get to the final (myself included), let alone take the greatest player ever to five sets and almost win the entire thing. He gave it everything he had, and he's got absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm already looking forward to the U.S. Open. :)

Nah. I think my family was just getting stressed out and blamed the lost points on the HD-converter box, reasoning:

"See, Roddick only lost that point because of the HD-converter box." Of course, this is illogical and was made a funny in our home just moments ago.

With this box, it is like watching Youtube videos on a slow computer with little RAM. You know that streaming load time on movies? I hate them. :D

Right on mate. I think Roddick has to play like he once did in 2003 to get to the U.S. Open final.

I mean, even today, I think Roddick played some defensive shots that he did not have to use. I was like, "Hit the ball Roddick!"

He has guns but chose more times to not use them than using the shot. I guess he fears unforced errors.

Well played final. I thought he was going to break Federer when it was 8-8 15-40?

I think, if that scoreline would not have existed, I would be okay with Roddick losing. Hehe.

Yes. My family is crazy like that. LOL. :D

Okay. I will try to look for the full interview, because I sure missed the history in the making (although, I was watching the TV).

I don't think Federer played his best tennis in the final, yet he defeated Roddick. In the fourth and fifth set, Federer was making hilarious unforced errors( hitting the balls 3 meters out) with both his fh and bh. If weren't for his serves, i think he would have lost. But again, there were some points where Roddick showed his technical limits, especially when he had to play from the net, lured by Federer.
Ban Djokovic forever!

I don't think this is a big deal for Roddick, to be honest he's quite used to losing to Federer. He should be really proud of himself and excited for the future, because he's playing better than he ever has in his life. Up until the second he lost, he looked like a vastly improved player.

i agree with Dragos, Federer wasnt playing his best tennis. His returns were not there, he just kept slicing back, we didnt see any of the hard low blocked balls, like we did verse karlovic.

Also, i watched a match with andy earlier in the year, and i see a huge difference. His backhand was very wobbly, missing easy shots, and his temper really costs him some points. Stefanki has done e great job with andy, i bet we see him making a run at the U.S. Open

Yeah Stefanki is a great coach but the coach must also have some decent material to work with and in this regard Roddick deserves all the credit he has received for his vast improvement this season. I mean he always had a great work ethic, that tremendous serve, and the willingness to grind out tough matches and now with stefanki on board I reckon Roddick should definately do some damage in the slams on hard court and grass.

Roddick's improvement and Nadal's return, should make the USO very interesting.
