Xranger07 wrote:Hey everyone. I'm a newbie here though I've been reading the posts for a few days now. I was able to schedule a match with the great djarvik. I've contacted him through PM and asked him some tips regarding the game, to which he has been very helpful. Eventually I was able to ask him for a match.

So after several pm's, scheduling considerations and play freezes (it happened 4 times!) , we finally got to our match. As expected, djarvik won 7-6, 6-3. Here are the stats.

I had three breakpoints, all in one single game, and he was 0-40 down. Needless to say, he saved all of em, and I did not have much of a look on his serve since. For the most part of the match though, I was just hanging on to dear life

Anyways, I would like to thank djarvik for the match. I'll play "better" next time I promise

The amount of times djarvik has been 0-40 down and held is uncountable. The guys just got too much variation.

Still a good start to your ITST career. Playing here is only going to help your game and maybe next time you will get a chance to convert on those break points. Good luck!

Another great macth against Djarvik, this time he won on grass 6-7 6-7, he has improved his serve a lot.
Well played mate.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Thanks to Moralspain, Amazing Zizou and Xranger07 for today matches!

Lately I don't have much time to play during the week, so it is always nice to get some matches in for the weekend.

Played ASEUSAM now, we didn't finish but it was a third set and and we were tied at 3.3 after splitting the first 2 sets in tie breaks.

Boy, he plays so much similar to me!

Meant to add here that djarvik beat me yesterday 6-1 6-4. First set was a blow-out, I wasn't really focused and djarvik was just playing too good but the 2nd set was much more competitive at least.

Oops that was probably my fault. We had an itst final that was 5 days overdue. Sorry for taking him away from your close game

Hey Djarv'...Do you really believe you would have thrash AmazingZiz the way you thrashed me?... ;)
It was Amazing matheja (maybe you played AmazingZiz too in fact!) you played yesterday....It was some fun to me! (even though you beated me).
Grass match...I firstly played with my SIM Chara Carlos Moya...I think i lost 3-6;3-6 (correct me if i'm wrong)...Then you offered me a second match (i told ya i should have played with my non-SIM Chara : my Marat SAFINATOR!!!   Who is 85-90-90-80...)You did kick my ass too but it has been less easier to you! :D
Anyway i'm not completely satisfied with my Safin chara...I'll quickly finish the TS3 Pro Tour (career mode) and then i have to create another Safin (mine is a bit too fat to me and i'd like him to have a better serve)...
Here is how i guess he has to look:
Fh 75
Bh
Sv 85
Rt
Vly 40
Pw 90
Spd 80
Stam 65
I really want to have those kind of settings...But i'd like him to be SIM too...So i guess i have to put 75 on Fh...And here i am with 135 points left to give...If i put 80 on Bh i have 55 points left for my returns... :(
How does it sound to you guys?...

Ok...Here is my new Safin :
Fh 75
Bh 80
Sv 75
Rt 65
Vly 40
Pw 90
Spd 75
Stm 60
I feel i did it too big again (Ooops i did it again!)...But i kinda like him...Return stats are still a bit to low maybe...And i can't serve the way Marat serve!...Very strong ace on the "T"!...Damn!...
I've just played a match against GoaMaster and he beated me something like 7-5,1-6,5-7...A funny match cause i was able to play strong shots (some cool winners) against his 90-90-90-90 chara...(don't remember where he had put all those 90's...)
But i'll play with this Safin at the Wimb!...

Actually I played you both!

I didn't exactly kick Zizou's ***, but I did win 2 tie breaks. He is a tough opponent for me....while I like to work the points, he likes to finish them  We match up pretty well, our matches are always entertaining and always close. Thanks Zizou for fun matches.

Matheja, you were great in our matches! I really didn't expect you to be so good  . You place your serve well, defend well and got a very nice and effective cross court forehand. If you can cut down a bit on the errors - you be great! Thanks to you as well, definitely fun to play against!
