Postby oDEVLISHo » Mon, 14 Feb 2011 19:51

Just wondered how we all compared ive just upgraded from 20mb to 50mb so I'm hoping to see a big difference come the weekend when it gets installed. I remember when xbox live first came out it had to be at least 1mb does anyone still have that sort of setup??

got my 50 mb connection 1 or 2 weeks ago, it works well.....ask Laith about it (Baghdad), we could barely play due to lag and now it's smooth
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

so having a 50m improves ping? i believe is't the fiber optics that make the trick not the raw speed of the connection.

Every part of the physical connection will impact the speed. Whether it is speed of the connection, type of the connection, speed of the distribution points or the distance between you and your opponent.

Really the easiest thing to improve the connection would be to move the continents closer together. Or set up an island for only gamers so we can all live 2 miles apart with great internet speeds.

My broadband is near 10mb! It's okay for a person who is not gaming that much on his PC. :D
