True that.

They say a typical American football game (3+ hours long) has a grand total of 14 minutes of action - which is, by the way, 14 more minutes than the typical soccer match. :P

I have to give the cup to the European football (soccer) match. I mean, we are all dainty ("oh, let me put my pads and cup on!!").

For Europe and other nations, you guys go out there with no protection at all. That is very brave, something Americans will not do or am not sure are allowed to do.

Yea. That looks bad. I am embarassed. Do not worry, I will get on the media about that.

I do not know why they wear skin-tight sportswear. They can wear shorts like you guys. :)

Oh, I meant to ask you. You guys play football (European) in the dead cold? I do not think you have snow like us (unless you are playing against Russia or something).

I guess that is the only reason why we were the leg-warmers.

you have to remember american football players are much stronger---offensive lineman are nearly 400lbs and very strong even linebackers a couple years back were about 300lbs, but they have cut their weight to become faster---if you did not have pads in american football---you would see lots of grotesque injuries LOTS OF THEM--its an extremely physical game--you basically have to be a freak of nature to play NFL football

Yes, of course. I was just joking. Yet, the Europeans still get props, because I think it is equally as dangerous. :P

Well . . . it is less physical contact than American football.

i live in argentina where rugby is a quite common sport here, very popular, especially now that we reached the third place in the last world cup...btw i hate it...

but 2 years ago...i discovered the NFL, (everyone here thinks that it is the same as rugby but you can pass the ball forward) and omg its such a great sport!! so much strategy and suspense, so much different from rugby, so if everyone doesnt know how to play american football, i think you should learn the game before criticizing it as i did!!

I guess you don't watch football Q. If they wear shorts then it's easiert to grab and talkle. That's why they are skin tight, so it's harder to grab. And Americans wear pads because they are getting talkled by 370 lbs trains. I wouldn't want to get hit by that with no pads.

So American football is tougher. Yeah :D
