Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Yeah, I can't wait for Velasquez vs. Dos Santos. 2 extremely powerful strikers....I think Velasquez will win this one though, he has an edge over Junior in basically every department IMO and he's shown he can handle guys who possess serious power.

I"d love to see Velasquez vs Overeem.... I know that's not possible because they fight for different organizations, but MAN that would be an incredible fight to see. Personally I think Overeem would destroy him. That guy is a monster.

Pacquiao vs Marquez I don't really care about....only boxing match I'm interested in seeing right now is Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Jr....but we all know Mayweather will just keep running away from that fight. It's his style inside and outside the ring.

R.I.P Smokin' Joe :(

As to the Pacquiao- Marquez fight,

Close fight yet again, but who landed the most effective clean scoring punches? Marquez.
Who wins? Pacquiao.

That's boxing for ya.
What happens in the ring is sometimes secondary if there's still future mega bucks to be made. Can't have a loss get in the way of Top Rank's ultimate cash cow.

I like the Filipino but he didn't deserve this verdict.
Feel bad for Marquez. Can't blame him for walking out before the post-fight interviews. Must be helluva tough for him to take.

Probably the one good thing that might come out of this fight is that Mayweather might now stop running. This performance by Pacquiao might just give him enough confidence and convince him to grow a pair and make that fight happen.

I watched the Pacquiao fight, and all I have to say is...that's a perfect illustration of why I don't really watch boxing

What a load of BS. Pac man for sure didn't 'win' in any kind of decisive way, but neither did Marquez IMO. It should have been a Draw.

Pac did get cut, but that was from a headbutt.

Stick to UFC. Much easier to understand and to score. :P

totally off-topic but,

how the heck can you rack up over 9k of posts? on what is most of the time pretty much a very quiet forum.

Honestly I don't really know.

I drank quite a lot from 2005-2011 (haven't drank in 6 months) so that probably accounts for a lot of the posts

Ask djarvik how he racked up 10k in like...2 years :P

I know you're just messing around and I know you mean "Stick to MMA" but it's funny you said UFC, because UFC bouts probably account for only like...10 percent of my MMA viewing. I watch a lot of DREAM (Japan) and some K-1 (kickboxing).

omg speaking of UFC...I am salivating over this matchup

I've been out of the loop a little bit as far as the fight game goes and didn't know this was in the works...wow, can't wait.

Didn't Mayweather try his best to arrange a fight versus Paquiao recently? But seeing that it was with blood test, The Pac-Man simply refused the fight, arguing that it was not ok with his religion... Haha! yeah right!...

I agree that it's strange/suspicious that Pac Man refuses to take blood tests..I'm not buying that 'religion' crap either.

However I don't think he's AFRAID of Mayweather or anything...Mayweather's a very successful fighter but he's not exactly the most fearsome or imposing fighter around. He wins his fights running backwards 75% of the time *

In UFC news, Cain Velasquez failed to defend his title against Junior Dos Santos and was knocked out at 1:04 of the first round. Dos Santos is new Heavyweight champ.

*percentage completely pulled out of my ass

That's what I love about MMA. You really never know what's going to happen. Or how it's going to happen. I thought Velasquez for sure was going to win this one.
