Well im think that South Africa and France are the favourites to go to the final, but this been such a "surprise" world cup, i hope that the Pumas can win their first match ever against the Springboks. Hope Hernandez play a really good game with his kicks and we dominate the kicking game, and the scrums i think thats the Pumas bests weapons.

The thing is Ferchu, that the Pumas best weapons are also the strengths of South Africa. No team in world rugby can take on the Boks and dominate them in the scrums. We play the game on a very physical level and the way to beat us is not to try to outmuscle us, but to spread the ball wide and run good angles in the way Fiji did for some portions in that match. And your point about dominating the kicking game is also suspect. We have great tactical kickers like Mongomery, Steyn, Du-Preez and Butch James. So all over the park we got the ammo to cope with Argentina. I will concede that the Pumas look in good form, especially when they beat the French in their opening match, and even though this is a one off match, history shows that we have always come up with the right answers to beat Argentina.

Totally agree with that, south africa is a much better team than argentina, i only hope that the heart and will power of the pumas show up again. I think Argentina is showing a really good defense and some really good tackling. Hope we can put a good match.

That's ok mate, to tell you the truth I'm not really surprised by that guys awesome speed. I believe he originally comes from Zimbabwe and most of those guys there are always running away from the police for one reason or another, so probably he's been practicing running fast for the majority of his adult life.
Just joking around of course, and yeah, that guy looks a tremendous athlete.

Well played to the Pumas, we beat you guys but there was also an element of good fortune to our win with the intercepted try's and the Pumas knocking the ball on so many times. The one thing I found very odd or somewhat strange though was that I had never seen so many grown men cry rivers of tears before and after the match. During the national anthems I can understand people getting emotional and very passionate about representing their country, but the reaction from the Argentine players was such that it definately put them on edge and can't have done their nerves any good in a hugely important match like this where you need to be extremely focused. I mean don't get me wrong, it's great to show passion like that and love for your country, but one could almost sense that from the emotional state they were in, ball handling mistakes and other errors were sure to occur.
Regarding the final, I'm beginning to agree with Exorz's point earlier that us beating England in the group stages will not count for much later on in the tournament. I think this English side has improved so much in the last month and if we don't improve in our scrums were going to face a very tough time of it in the final.

Can somebody please explain rugby to me? What are valued skills in rugby? Speed? Being able to not drop the ball? Are certain people exceptionally good passers or something? I seriously just know next to nothing about rugby, but it looks really cool.

Well we won the Cup and beat a very determined English side. Not a great final in terms of sheer entertainment but it was tense to watch and the players on both sides gave it their all. We are crowned World Champions and it feels great, however it was quite a strange world cup for us. Our main rivals the kiwis, the aussies and the french were all taken out of our path by other teams. The highest ranked team we played was Argentina, and to be totally honest it seems kinda strange to be crowned world champions without beating any of the top 3 sides in the world. But we take the victory and hopefully make a good defence of it in four years time.

Yes well done to S Africa. I did say to you though Bloufo, beating England in a knock out match would be considerably more difficult than your match 5 weeks ago. Let's face it, if England had been given their try attempt, then they definately could have won the match. To rule England out of a match like that is always foolish. South Africa did the intelligent thing and went out to play the hardest game of their lives. They did it on the day and congratulations!

New Zealand will win it in 4 years though, on home turf.
