Another Klitchko brothers fight and as usual another stinker.

As expected, Sosnowski was too small and too inexperienced to really have any sort of real chance against Vitali.
The champ looked old and slow but was still too powerful for the challenger.
Probably Sosnowski could have carried on after that knockdown but there was no point to it. By then the fight was already lost.
It looks now like the only genuine threat to the Klitchko's is David Haye. He has good skills, is fast and packs a big punch. His chin is suspect but maybe his speed can keep him out of harms way against the much slower and ageing Klitchko brothers.
Hopefully that fight gets made soon, it's the only big money attraction in the HW division.

Regarding your UFC (114) fights, how did that go? Any exciting ones there, GOA?

i saw the fight right now -and i must say ............ the fight was boring me totally .
KLITSCHKO is far away to be a worldclass heavyweight -his style is ridicolous -so defensiv about sosnovsky
i´m sure a mike tyson kick his ass in round 1 ,latest in round 2 !!
also his opponent was just ridicolous . he was maybe a 3rd class boxer at all.
normally he must KO sosnovsky in round 3 (latest) and not in round 10!!
i suppose he need the commercial money so he wait till round 10 !!!
when he ko´d his opponents allways in round 1 (like he did earlier) nobody earn money for commercial !!!!!!!!!
thats the whole point !!
i´m not anymore a fan from both KLITSCHKOS !!.
their last fights was a joke - from both KLITSCHKOS
really their fights bored me totally.
this fight was a good example why i prefer now MMA much more

bloufo,i didn´nt saw UFC 114 yet -but i´m downloading the event right now .
think tonight i will watch it .
i hope i can see some good fights . with alot of action and fighters who will knock out their opponentas earliest as possible!

Well were the fights any good?
You mentioned previously that, unlike in the boxing matches, that you were hoping for a ton of action with many early KO's.

No I haven't seen UFC 114, actually I was not very interested in this particular UFC event- I'm not really a fan of any of the fighters that fought in UFC 114; I especially hate Michael Bisping and I'm dissapointed that he won....I wouldn't have minded watching Rampage/Rashad, but I'm actually kind of glad that I missed it now because it sounds like it was a very boring fight.

I look forward to UFC 116...BROCK LESNAR VS. SHANE CARWIN!!!!!111111

No matter what happens, it's gonna be epic!!! Brock might not even be the favorite for this fight- many, many people are picking Carwin to win. Personally, I have no idea who's going to win- 'on paper', it's the most exciting and even match-up I've seen in a while. Brock Lesnar, whose reputation as an incredibly powerful brutalizer of faces precedes him, versus a rising star with a TON of momentum in Shane Carwin.

Brock has a lot more to lose than Shane Carwin...Lesnar's in for the fight of his life, I think

like i said earlier -i watch every UFC event.mean i´m also not a fan from every fighter -i´m totally interrested to UFC so i watch every event.
luckywise i have the possibillity to watch it for free. mean when i must pay 50 bucks for watching than i also will not watch every event .

the rampage jackson- rashad evans fight was not that bad - he was really awesome to watch.
EVANS had the luck to give RAMPAGE a big shot what nearly end in a knock out shortly after beginning round 1 . BOOOM that was a great shot from EVANS:
- this punch handycapt rampage the following fight.

myself i was not dissapointed from the bout !!

no way, i also can´t wait for LEZNAR - CARVIN wooow this will be great

Liddell got knocked out by Rich Franklin tonight with 3 seconds left to go in the 1st round... Dana White said that this is the end of Chuck Liddell's UFC career  I feel bad for Chuck. 3 fights in a row that ended the same way.

i watchUFC 115 soon. think tomorrow. or next days
you saw it ?
till now i only watched the results .

thats with liddell is sad.
the mainproblem is that the fighters know his style too good, and they are totally prepaired for him and his style -and hes too old -his reflexes are to slow !
its time for him to stopp UFC .
that was the last try in a different weightclass for him - he was one of my favorite fighters ever in UFC .i like this stand up style with 1 punch knock out power .
i wished him a better end like he did -this was his last big fight with big money for him !
mean he got 350 000 -400 000 cash for this fight .
CHUCK LIDDELL was a good fighter -alot of great fights -also in PRIDE :

Hey GOA,

do you read the german UFC magazine "fighters only" some times? I do, and Liddell gave an interview about James Toney s fight vs. Randy Couture.

What do you think about Toney s UFC debut? He was pound for pound one of the best boxers of all time, the 2nd best behind Roy Jones jr. in the middle 90 s, but i doubt he will do well in MMA...

I know you're asking Matthias, but I gotta answer, too...I don't think James Toney will do well at all against a good wrestler like Randy Couture. All Couture has to do is take the fight to the ground and I'm sure Toney will be totally helpless.

no, i didn´t readed FIGHTERS ONLY.
mean i know the magazine, but i didn´t readed the article.

also i didn´t saw his UFC debut...which UFC event james toney was fighting by UFC ?
coz i will watch the fight before i will say some about him -
i have all events so which one he had fighted ?

i agree in generell with jon- only fighting in stand up is nearly impossible in UFC .
esspecially against a big wrestler machine like randy cotoure
YOU NEED A GROUNDGAME IN UFC !!

so how is TONEY on the ground ??
i can´t believe he can hold "THE NATURAL " in stand up over the whole fight
like i said before -i will watch first his UFC debut fight to say anything more

hey cris ,you saw the K1 event from last month ? (i forgotten it was in japan or dutch??)
mean the event where zimmermann was fighting semmy schild.
some great fights
that was awesome how badr hari eliminated the red scorpion .
great event .
K1 (kick-thaiboxing )is awesome .i came from K1 to UFC -
at all I prefer stand up kickboxing fights more than jiujitsu wrestling bouts on the ground .

They haven't fought yet...it will be at UFC 118

Does anybody else think it's extremely strange that Toney's first MMA fight EVER is against a complete legend like Randy Couture???

I mean, Couture is old, but so is Toney!!! Couture's still a really dangerous fighter. I'm shocked that Couture is to be his first opponent.

Also, sad news...this isn't yet official, but I'm reading stuff on the internet saying that CRO COP is planning on announcing his immediate retirement   This, coming off 2 wins in a row, is really kind of strange and sad, but I guess he wants to go out as a winner

i saw the fight earlier .the giants fight lol
great posting jon but think about that schild is much much better now !
his K1 had so improved in last years -the only fighter who can beat schild at moment in K1 is BADR HARI
semmy is one of the best K1 fighters.
i saw alot of fights from him.he is difficult to fight under K1 rules.

ah,okay .thanks for info about toney.
i thought he had a debut fight and fight now against couture .
it will be hard for him, without groundgame he ned the fast knockout power punch.
i don´t know James Toney at all. when he can give couture a early knockdown maybe he have a chance .
without that randy will press him to the cage and wrestleling him down, to knock him out with ground and pound.
also a chance for him is that randy is old.we see what happens with liddell at weekend.
.
when its confirmed that mirko crocop is retireing from FIGHTING than 2 from my favorited fighters stopped shortly behind fighting.
thats sad .i liked to watch them -both done awesome fights

MIRKO CRO COP and CHUCK LIDDELL two of the best fighters !!

to be honest-i saw them both now fighting in UFC 115 -i think its better for both to stopp UFC fighting . mean crocop won his fight ,but crocop isn´t the same.he got some shots from barry in round one ,and he was often very wabbely-
he won with a choke in round 3.you saw the fight?
okay he won but its better for him to stopp now fighting UFC -not like CHUCK .
he is gone on the hard way . with hard KO loosings in a row

BTW:
i think that toney must fight directlyRANDY ,in his debut fight , is cool
thats a normal behavior from UFC -they do that often to proove the new fighters with big names outside from UFC .

LIKE..
you (think)YOU are a big name ? so come to UFC and proof that. BUT fight first directly one of the best .

i remember brock leznars first fight was against former champion FRANK MIR !!
