There are teams which play offensive although they are only 10 players.
What would have happened with Italy when they would had to play the penalty shoot-out?
Everybody can win then?!

When needed. We do not need to attack during 90 mins when it's not useful. Hmm I believe that the goal of each team in each match is to win, no matter how, at least from the 1/8. That's what we did until now.
We're offensive until we score a goal, then we do not attack as much anymore, we just counter, until now I believe it has worked pretty well, let's see what it'll look like vs France.

As far as I know we won in the firsts 90 mins. If the guy wouldn't have commited a foul Grosso'd have been in front of the keeper. Why risking to lose everything by simulating when he has so many chances to score?
And do not forget there was the extra-time after. I'm sure we'd have won before the penalty shoot-out.

You should learn to lay aside your german proud and try to see the events in a more objective way!

As French, I have my objective point of view.
I think, indeed, Italy deserved his victory against Germany... they were better, they dominated the match, especially the first half and the extra time (two shots so hot at the beginning of the extra time!)... I really think Germany didn't deserve more on this match...
But, I'll be against Italia about the penalty against Australia. It was not a wonderful match from the italians to beat a quite poor team like Australia on a really generous penalty in the last minute of the match. I really think this penalty wasn't deserved...

I think Italy will win, because France isn't really playing well. Against Brazil it wasn't at all a good match. They had a bit luck and Henry was there to score one goal. The rest they defended all the game, which happened too against Portugal. I'm not saying this because I'm portuguese but I think the match was really poor to the French, because they score with a penalty (that was fair, that I agree), but after they defended again a lot and didn't risk too much on the attack. I think this isn't an interesting style of play. To win 1-0 with a penalty is not really a very proud act, I think. On the other hand, Portugal had his opportunities but didn't used them well. However I saw on the last minutes of the match, a moment where Zidane looked to the sky, terrified with the pressure that Portugal was doing, and he did that after a shot that was out (I don't remember by who). And there is yet a penalty to Portugal, when Ronaldo was pushed to the ground and the referee didn't mark the penalty. I'm not mad at all to loose, because I don't even care much about football. But I think France doesn't deserve to win, because they are not playing well (and notice that I have greater friendship by Frenchs, but this time I think Italy will win). Anyway, I'm waiting to Wimbledon Final tomorrow, that yes, will be interesting!!! hehe

Who noticed that the match yesterday between Germany and Portugal had the same score as the ITST Davis Cup final 2005?!?
I think Italy has a real chance to win, but I don't hope  , because they would have one more star on their shirt than Germany. But that is not the only reason. France can play better than they did.

Im sorry but have we seen the same match? Besides a few shots off target from Brazil, Brazil had no chance and France could have won with bigger numbers actually. Beside the first 10 minutes and some small parts in the second half France was in the attack. I even think it was the match of the tournament.

Ill agree to the fact France-Portugal was not great from both sides and i really hope France plays better versus Italy. Otherwise it will be a dull match (as Ialy wont have the power to win) and it will be agony untill the final wistle.

I'm sorry Federer, Portugal never deserved any penalty!!! Ronaldo was just an actor... he put pressure on the umpire but nothing more!!! What he really deserved was a yellow card!
All right, the match against Portugal wasn't good... the French were tired and suffered. But against Brazil, I'm sorry, they did something great. Zidane was just exceptionnal on that match!
