I think they almost certainly will. I get you emate but they will release this for PC, which will be superior to the console versions, and being as the xbone (lol) and the ps4 are built largely on pc architecture it won't be too difficult to port to next gen as well

I don't think I made my point clear. Of course they will port it to PC at some point, but it won't be until sales REALLY dry up on the 2 consoles they spent tens of millions (I'm going to guess between $20-30 mil this round) developing the game for.
So far there are no specs about either console, but if what the media says about both the xbone and ps4 being a pc in disguise (with annoying bells and whistles) is true, console ports should come at roughly the same time. I would guess about 1 year after the game is actually released.

I really wish they would bring the original 'Leisure Suit Larry' to xbox live.

Also, other old PC games like the Wing Commander games, TIE Fighter, Quake, MICROSOFT flight similator, etc etc etc...all the games I can't play anymore because I don't have an old enough, crappy enough computer

TIE fighter... One of my favorite games. I wish they'd remake that for pc as well as xbl.
Aiming is always better with a mouse, I'm sure somebody could find a way to flesh out the flight controls.

That's true. It's a shame they developed it "too late" in my opinion, the but of course there was no way to know that. If I remember though the reveal trailer was what, October 2011? I wonder if there was some kind of issues in development as it's hella long time to be 2 years between an initial reveal trailer and delivery, especially as the trailer was showing a fair amount or stuff in game. I will still wait though, even if it's never officially ported it will be on a service like gaikai eventually.

I thought the ps4's specs are confirmed but the xbones aren't? I saw the other day that there are cooling issues in the xbox and they are thinking of underclocking the cpu, and this could be caused by the ESram chip on the die. I hope not, I probably won't buy one but competition is healthy and happy the last thing Microsoft needs is manufacturing issues on top of the other shitstorm they are seeing

And yeah some games are proper classics. Like the worst thing that could happen would be a remake of mgs1, it wouldn't work then as a game.

Honestly I always used a flight stick. I had a lot of flight simulator games. TIE Fighter is for sure one of the best games of all time in my opinion. The storyline was cool and I always loved meeting with that one weird hooded dude. Been so long I can't even remember what he was called. Not the emperor obviously.

I had some DDDOOOOOPPPPPEEEEE flight sticks back in the day, my dad used to buy them for me....i remember one of them had a leather boot on it like a cars stick shift

Yeah youd think that, but actually they remade it with the MGS2 engine for the GameCube game 'Metal gear solid: twin snakes', and it's pretty awesome. That and 'Star Wars: Rogue Squadron' are still the only games I own on GameCube....the only reason i bought the system.

Never played twin snakes, but I always imagine just the mechanic of first person shooting would ruin the play. I suppose they could change patrol patterns etc though. It has to be my favourite game of all time, I remember psycho mantis saying I was 'reckless as I have not saved often' and other shit the game said by reading your stats and memory card and being like WTF

YEAH that was a real mind f**k moment :)

Plugging it into the second controller port so Mantis can't read your mind...SO freaking cool and innovative.

I don't think Rockstar really cares about being on time anymore, if they ever did. "It's ready when it's ready" has served them well the past few years. With such a huge brand name, it's much riskier to release a less than awesome game than to delay for 6-12 months.
And the reveal trailer was just to keep the masses thinking about GTA in general, since they wouldn't be seeing the actual game for a couple years 8) .

I think at one point there was an active push to release quicker at least with gta (1 year between gta 3 and vice city... A year!!) but since this gen came out definitely much more it's done when it's done. Red dead redemption was in development for like 5 years? What a game though

Funny you mention Redemption man I am just now (last couple months) getting into that game. Totally amazing.

Playing through it on hardcore mode right now...

Also playing Fallout New Vegas on hardcore mode...shit is difficult.

FALLOUT 1 & 2, two other amazing older games they need to bring to XBLA
