Is it because they have no "bite" that they are expensive? I would like to know if there is a correlation between the two.

Probably has more to do with the fact that the beer comes from a country 4,000 miles away. That, and it's a variety pack - always more expensive.

India Pale Ale. All of the REALLY bitter beers I've had were some version of an IPA, quite a few of them just don't taste good at all.

I do like the Redhook Longhammer IPA, that's a winner.

Anybody ever have Arrogant Bastard???

It's just way too much in my opinion...I know that's part of their whole 'thing', but it's really unpleasant-tasting to me. I like to actually enjoy the taste of beer not tolerate it...

The smell of their 'Double Bastard Ale' alone is enough to induce a migraine.

Yeah, that's actually one of the IPA's I was thinking of that taste really bad, haha...

That seems like a beer you would buy just to get tanked, but it's more expensive and tastes worse than a malt which serves the same purpose... :?

I'd buy it - and drink it - just because of the name. :P

I do not drink man. I tried it at a friend of mine wedding. I had to give my cup to my older sister. She likes it.

It is something about the taste of that stuff. It makes me shutter.
