Sony Ericsson No Longer Sponsor WTA?

Postby Q. Reese » Sun, 28 Nov 2010 09:11

Hello all,

I found out two weeks ago that the Sony Ericsson WTA tour website is changed to just a mere WTA tour site.

The Sony logo is gone. What happened? Sony did not want to support the WTA tour any longer? Its funny though, because I saw their logo on the WTA Championship's net.

Perhaps, they are now a small sponsor of the WTA tour now?

"I retire from forum activity" - Q Reese, 2010.

I don't have a problem with Q posting. He does no harm, and creates great conflicts out of thin air. Which is awesome for any forum.

But this reappearance is not without warning...

Samael and Q seem to have a symbiotic relationship. When one appears, the other isn't far behind.

You know guys. I can leave, if that is what you really want. I just thought that since I was around on kschoice's forum, I'd pay a visit here. :D As before, I am getting a sense that I am unwanted here.

Yet, I can arrange that. I was also thinking to support the draw and kschoice's game by actually playing for tournaments. Then, I saw it was a ITST-F.A.T.S. concept.

This is another reason why I came back to ITST's forum, just in case I decided to play. :P

The constant mudslinging still happens after all this time? Wow. Well, I am not going to get upset. Some people just like to have that type of lifestyle (picking on others).

I might just have to re-think what I am getting into, because I do not look forward to joining a forum that often leads to bickering and childish behavior (this is more of a specific comment, not a generalization).

Emate007,

Yea man. I really do not try to create conflicts. This is the most hectic forum I've ever been on. I am apart of other forums. I don't get why I am always the cause of problems here (I'm putting myself as the guilty party).

ITST's experience in 2005-2006 has been great (forum, draw, and management support). Yet, if I am the problem, then I apologize.

However, if a person retires on 3/8/10, rejoins the forum late November a day or two ago, and there is still mud-slinging and deflamation of character still going on . . . there is reason to believe that this is a forum or multiple members' issue; not a member issue (being myself).

Yet, again, I take full blame and apologize (which makes no sense because I just decided to come back to say hi and support Full Ace Tennis). I still get negative remarks! Wow.

A particular member just recently tried to bring his/her behavior on Full Ace's forum and the admin is not having it! Member-bashing is not conducive to any forum who claims to be a community. It's a no-no.

Actually, its a complete opposite. not trying to start anything, I just find your logic flawed.

Within this thread, you will see that I talked about the WTA tour not having Sony Ericsson's sponsorship.

I clearly asked what happened? No one cared to answer my question but decided to ask me why I am here and throw negative comments my way.

And you, djarvik, as senior host, are saying that it is the complete opposite and my logic is flawed? I just re-joined ITST's forum, and the comments here by others clearly support my logic.

Let the forum thread right here speak for itself. Upon my recent visit to ITST's forum, I said nothing about ITST members at all, but there are 10 or more comments about me?! :(

Lastly, you. as senior host, should not even play into this. You did so in the past, but you were not a senior host. This so brings down a true community who looks to bring togetherness. If anything, and I am not asking that you do this, you would have "put out the fire" within this thread and worked contrary to comments here. Perhaps, welcoming a person who just recently returned to ITST.

Former senior hosts did that, so I would think you would do that too. That is professionalism and what a senior host should strive to do. I am not saying that we are perfect. Yet, you, as senior host, playing along with this member-bashing does not look good for ITST.

Then again, I understand and respect your judgment.

Let by-gones be by-gones guys. I am not hear to fight with anyone. I hope you all understand that.

Where I tried to be friendly, I could have done so another way. Before I retired, I said sorry. I do say sorry now. Yet, for sure, I am not the guy that false stories painted me up to be since 2006 and hate to say it . . . now (even after I was away six months or so).

I hope we can just move forward and continue to keep ITST's forum as encouraging and healthy as many community-based forums out there.

There is no reason why a person should have to come home from work (hectic at that) and view series of forum threads featuring negative comments about him or her. That is not a true community.
