Do you want Open, Closed or Semi cups?

I have tried Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohms, and those were the comfiest I've had. Sounded very neutral, though after a while got a buzz in one of the drivers when it played bass frequencies. I'd recommend these if you can get them on a full refund policy.

Currently have Shure SRH840. Also very neutral sound, which is very clear. Not as comfy, and they recently snapped on the adjustable strap, so trying to get those refunded/swapped. Good, but I think I preferred the Beyer's.

Other ones I've heard of being good are Audio-Technica ATH-M50 X, or AKG K550, Beyerdynamic 990 (if you want open cups, rather than the closed 770, or the semi-open of the 880),Sony MDR7506 (which are probably worth twice the price). There are some more, and I'm sure Sennheiser have a couple of pretty good headphones for that price range, but I'm not entirely sure which.

Seems like Audio-Technica ATH-M50X is the way to go......way too many reviews to ignore. I have not found a single review that this pair would lose (price range)

So I did some more research and figured I will spend some more money too 8)

This is what I have ordered (should arrive end of the week):
Philips X2/27 Fidelio

$235 at amazon.

Will review once I get it.

Cool. Look forward to hearing them!

I'm currently using Sennheiser HD201s, since my Shure's broke, and they are not bad at all. Will obviously upgrade when I have the funds.
