Barcelona probably play the best football on the planet with their intricate 1 twos and watching them play is watching how the game should be played...
... but am I the only person that thinks that they can be very boring 2 watch? They have great possession of the ball 30-40 passing moves but it's really only 3 or 4 passes that cut the other team open. I understand that it is great football and the off ball movement is superb making it look all 2 easy. But there is no excitement 2 watching them. It is very slow. Does any1 else agree that Barca while awesome is a boring team 2 watch.
For excitement I'd rather watch Real Madrid they are very much more direct and exciting

From tonights match i would almost agree with you. The problem to me is that is so geared towards Messi. What Milan did was just constantly crack down Messi with two men. It doesnt kill their game cause he is good enough to still be dangerous. But i wonder how the team would fair without Messi.

I think Barca would be fine without Messi. They play great football so it does'nt really matter who they have in Messis position they will still kick ass.

Watching Barcelona is really boring.... pass pass pass.... I prefer to see Bayern Munich and obviously Real Madrid, I think RM will be the next european champion....

In first two years of Guardiola as coach of Barcelona, they played well as now.... I thought yesterday seeing the match, that Milan had real possibilities to pass trough the semifinal because they had a lot of chances to score, in past two years it was strange the team who scores in camp nou against barcelona....

I think time for Guardiola as barcelona coach is finished at the end of the season....

In Barcelona's defence, I think one of the reasons they can be boring to watch at time is as teams play ultra-defensively against them so its really hard for them to actually create anything. If teams were to play more openly against them their tempo would be much quicker and better to watch

^ This happened in Barca's 6-2 victory against Real in Bernabeu. Awesome match, first time I have seen Casillas getting hammered like that and he wasn't particularly bad either.

Also Messi's role at Barca is notably different than in the national team. In the club he's basically a playmaking center forward (like Maradona), in the national team he's the center midfielder.

i understand your opinion -we had same by bayern where we played under van gaal 2009/10
controlling the ball to 70 %- 80%only pass pass pass ,saving the ball, but no effectness before the goal - it was very boring to watch

barca is playing also this system -but they have messi . and messi is really unstoppaple . he makes boring into exiting .
without messi this system would not work in that way .
i´m allways wondering ,why MESSI is nearly NEVER injured ? . a dribbling player like messi .thats LIKE A wonder
