sorry forgot about this thread :P

I'm doing pretty good with the fightstick, I like it a lot. I definitely still feel weird when I try to play as Ken in HF, but I haven't been playing much HF anyways, and have kinda started fresh in ST with Bison. It's (the stick) definitely much easier with charge characters and I have no problem executing combos or remembering where my hands are with Bison because I've learned him from the ground up with only the stick...whereas with HF Ken, I mastered him (well kinda) with the controller, so that's how I know how to play him, with the 360 controller.

I have always been a one-character guy...I like using other characters just enough to be familiar with their moves and in which situations they can use those moves, but I've never been able to be proficient with more than one character in a SF game.

Chun and Dhalsim are good characters in any SF game; mid or top-tier in almost every single incarnation. I'm not too familar with SSF4 at all though so why would people get pissed?? Is he kinda overpowered??

Nah, he is balanced, but for people who are not used to the matchup, it can be frustrating. The opponent works hard to get past Sim's long reach, only for him to teleport escape.

You played some more SSF4 yet? :P

I don't have SSF4 actually, just regular ('vanilla' in 'SF lingo' :P ) SF4. I have played it a few times with the stick and I'm able to play as Ken and Ryu pretty easily because, like Elargento showed earlier, they must have changed the motion for shoryukens...it's easier, much easier. Also I'm able to use the Ultras much easier and without thinking about it (ultras with the controller involved pressing LB which is very awkward).

Dhalsim is a frustrating character to play against if the other guy knows what he's doing (I certainly don't with Dhalsim). In SF2 super turbo, he can throw a fireball, you block it, and he can teleport right behind you and tick throw you while you block the fireball. It's crazy. I don't remember him being able to do that in Hyper Fighting, I think the teleport is more 'random'.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Xavi we're talking about Street Fighter...that's Mortal Kombat!! :P Still cool, though.

Still playing SSF4 much, Sound?? Man it's been a little over a month but I'm really almost finally 100% comfortable with Ken again in Hyper Fighting, with the arcade stick. In fact I am now at the point where I'm doing quite a few things better than I ever did with the control pad...I am now a cr. MK- hadouken combo machine, it is exponentially easier to consitently hit that combo with the preciseness of the arcade stick...landing those consistently is part of what separates good Shoto players from decent ones so I'm pretty stoked! I'm really liking the precision of the stick now that I am used to it...even though I don't use these characters, I've noticed that very difficult special moves like HF Sagat's Tiger Knee (down, down-forwoard, to up forward  ) and Zangief's Spinning Piledriver (Complete 360 with joystick+any punch) are WAAAAAY easier with a stick..

Man I wish you had a 360 so we could play

Right after typing this last night I FINALLY beat my 'nemesis' in Hyper Fighting, this guy who I play a lot but have never beat. You have no idea how happy and relieved I was. I was Blanka he was Chun.

I immediately sent him a message simply saying "FINALLY"

This, after maybe 5 or so matches where I had him within one LK or LP away from being beaten but blew it.

For anyone interested here's something quite rare...an early 90's recording of high-level SF2 WW (world warrior...the very first SF2) play recorded straight off an arcade cabinet, with some AWESOME remixed soundtrack. This is part 6, there are 12 parts, one for each character's song and level. I'm not sure how I found this, it seems to be kinda 'hidden'...I mean it's been on there for 3 years and only seen about 500 views
