is ITST a dieing site?

Postby Fieldclan6 » Mon, 23 Sep 2013 09:06

Hey, is ITST a dieing competition site, I'm asking this and wana know other people's thoughts as tournament sight ups are struggling to enough registrations to even start the tournament, no top players are playing many tournaments anymore also their are a couple people usring glitch which nothing gets done about, no there are no posts being written up when a tournament has finished are the hosts getting lazy are the hosts to old and don't have enough time on there hands because of work and family commitments? I don't know and I just opened this topic to hear people's thoughts also is ITST no fun anymore? I know one thing when ts3 was being played the site was booming with loads of banter too.

TS4 is dying....

I'm sure when TS5 is released things will pick up again.

Hi,
there is no ts5 release date until now. I hope we know more soon.
Also i find it hard to say there are a couple peoples using a glitch. How can you know that your opponent was glitched or he just played so good? There is not one single proof that someone ever used a glitch at itst until now i think. I couldnt definitely say someone plays with glitch or not.
However the pro tour is dying because of agassi thats for sure

I am in contact with 2K. So far - no plans for TS5. But as soon as I know anything, I will let you know.

ITST is fine, the games are aging.....what we need is a new tennis game, any tennis game worth conducting a tour for.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

GTA 5 tennis isn't worth considering a tour for. The mechanics are unrealistic as the main focus of the game is NOT tennis but more to do about missions and such. I love GTA 5, don't get me wrong but it is definitely not our next big tour. Most of the matches you play are played at net as the ball 98% of the time never goes further than the service box.

Ah, bummer. Not quite as awesome as it was made out to be then. Thanks for the feedback.
I would ask how gta5 is overall, but I'm pretty sure I already know. 8)

The site is not dying considering the Tennis Elbow tour keeps growing with regular new members coming in, and above all, always full tournaments.
The level is actually really huge, and there is a real dynamic hierarchy with a regular high level top20 and a few guys still playing after 2 years of competition.

I really advice you to try this game which is the best ever made for Tennis. Watch also the history of the competitions played. There are great champions on this tour and the results are regularly different as the form of the day has a big impact in matches.
Ex : The winner of Wimbledon was close to loose in early rounds of US Open against a non-seeded player, because of a lack of form.
As the match are demanding mentally, you even have to carefully manage your tournament schedule if you want to stay at a high level longer : if you play too much, you will have a burnout and will loose your level :)

I played the Top Spin 4 tour for 2 years I think, was a regular top 10, and I can tell you the Tennis Elbow is far more interesting. With the Chat, every players talk, organize practices etc. We know each other very well so it's great ;)

Personally, I actually think the key issue is the website which is completely out of date. But there are apparently no developers in the community that would be willing to help the staff to build another one, so I don't know.
