What about the original file? Before you edit it.

Looks like wmv file too Rob.

Villa,

I record using a cheap capture card called easycap. If you are interested, search 'easycap ps3' into youtube. Lots of videos there explaining how to do it. I've gone for the cheapest possible, and as you can see, the quality is not bad (worth what I paid for anyway)

It should not matter what PS3 you have - the method SoundfSilence used will work on ANY console.

@SoundfSilence:

The only thing I can think of to try is to export it as AVI from Movie Maker. When you are on the setting screen (the one with the check box for "Best quality for playback on my computer"), you'll see an option for "Show more chioces...."

Click that and then click "Other settings". On the pull down menu, select "DV-AVI".

IF that doesn't work, then I don't have any other ideas unless you purchased a separate program.

Thanks Rob, just tried.

The default wmv file to be saved is only 120.23MB, but to save it as AV-DVI it goes up to 1747.50 MB :(

You know any software that converts wmv to other formats? I downloaded Windows Media Encoder, but it seems to allow you to convert other files into wmv (and not the other way round).

You tried WMV converter. Windows Movie Maker is good too.

You could try this:

http://www.womble.com/

It's easy to use, pretty much just like Movie Maker.

It converts video to mpeg-2, the same format used by DVD's. It's expensive, but they have a 30 day free trial, so you can do a lot in that time.

If you used HDMI you would need an HDMI splitter. Those can be glitchy and are much more expensive.
