That is a good beer indeed. Perfect when you are sitting in the sun chilling. But i guess its good for any situation. Ive had some Duvel beers. That is a great Belgian beer. Also had a local beer which was disgusting.

You mentioned Belgian beer and I immediately thought of Leffe. Now I feel like some.

SlicerITST wrote:The Active Topic list should now fill up i think. As you said, lots and lots of options so im not 100% sure.

"View active topics" still returns only the global announcement for me.

Normally, you have to go to each forum edit page (by clicking on their little green icon from the forum list in "Admin Panel -> Forums), and then in the "General forum settings" tab, set "Display active topics:" to "Yes".

BTW, I mistakenly said "Mod Panel" in my previous, but it's in the "Admin Panel".

Previously when I used to click the picture on top of the page then the forum index page was opened.. This is not happening now.. It's too difficult to differentiate between the old and new posts red highlight. Plzz fix this.. Other than this I feel new forum is cool :D

We all understand that you have to work out the kinks and so on. It will improve the functionality of the site.

Although I would like to ask for a detailed explanation of every thing new for all us who are not tech savvy at all.

The home page has the same old layout.. Isn't it possible to change home page and make it like this forum? I initially thought that forum and home page are related, so any change in forums will also cause a similar change in rest of the ITST website

I don't know or these problems are already pointed out but I have noticed some:
- The PM-tab in the forum section says [0] while I have 3 new and unread messages (as shown in the "old" part of the website, the tour part)
- I don't receive a mail when I have a new PM
- The sending (membername) a private message link via the personal page of another member doesn't work.
(The requested URL /forum/privmsg.php was not found on this server.)

As for the rest, I like it!

Thanks Robbin, that is very helpful. Ill look into them.

@Ali: The content of the database behind ITST is shared between the forum and the website. It is not as seperated as would be prefered. That is where the link between the two is heavy. As for layout, these things are never linked. Layout of a website and the code (and link with databases) are usually two very seperated things.

Honestly, changing the layout of the website it self would be a big job. Then i am talking about a major layout change to bring it up to par with the current sites out there. Of course there is always room to change some minor things with the layout. Im sorry but it is not on my schedule to undertake this at the moment. Just dont have the time for it.

@Tam: I think it is a good idea to do this and ill add it to the list. I hope you dont mind it being the last thing though. Fixing bugs has a priority for me now.

As for avatars. I have found out how to enable avatars (thanks to Al for helping me look at it). But i am holding out for an extra day cause i want to bring back all your old avatars. The solution we found this afternoon would mean people would have to resubmit their avatar.

One nice side effect I noticed is that you can edit your posts right away without getting the "too fast" warning anymore, which I always found odd anyway because technically it isn't a new post.
