Ah, you do not want to play the older tennis games for now. We at least have Top Spin 2 and Dream Match Tennis. :P

not really, i don't like the chat system of ts2 and for me an important part of the community is being able to share ideas and meet people from different cultures. and dmt well it looks like a ten year old game, for that we had ts 1.

I see. The chat systems of Top Spin 2 and DMT are quite similar. I guess too Elargento . . . game producers know that we are more like get in the game and play now-a-days.

Perhaps, this is why we see chat systems like Top Spin 2 and Dream Match Tennis, quite cut and dry. Who knows?!

I hear where you are coming from though.

Whoever the original poster may be, I would at least like to defend him. In my opinion the post did not sound negative in any way. So some people can back off on whoever it is.

I agree that ITST's success and competitor's failures come because the nature of such a site. It is easier to recruit members when you already have a healthy tour like ITST and its Top Spin tours. Just look at how much more difficult it is for us to get a solid DMT tour compared to the DMT World Tour. That is because they already have a very competitive tour and most of the players who are going to play tournaments are already playing there. At least our DMT tour can continue because a lot of its members are ITST members who have moved on from another game. Without that community to recruit from I doubt we would have made a successful DMT tour. So other competitors fail because they try and start, for example, a TS3 only tour where the only base they can really recruit from is our community. And how long will that last when you are trying to recruit players from a healthy site with nice tournament draws, to a site with small draws.

The poster therefore makes a valid argument that we should be prepared in case someone is able to get a solid tour running in competition with the ITST. We need to have a plan on how we will succeed in such an environment.

My answer to the original poster though is that I belive the management is planning, they are making improvements to the site. The improvements may not come as quickly as we would like because we do not have huge sums of money, but I think the site is prepared to handle some pretty solid competition. Obviously it could be pushed out by a hugely successful site with lots of money behind it. However the likelihood of such a site is slim, and ITST can't do much to compete with such a site anyways.

Sherlock,

I don't think ITST is worried about this. About time it should be "worried" or "threaten" by Top Spin 3, it will already on the next step . . . the next tennis game release with even more interest than before.

Also, I think if ITST receive more competition, it is okay. This should be fine because of the fact that it has been holding the scepter for years!

However, I am not here to see it go down like that. :D
